摘要： A belt rotating device includes: a meandering correction roller that is rotatably supported within a support frame and is one of a plurality of rollers that stretch an endless belt; a supporting portion that is provided at the support frame and supports a rotating shaft of the meandering correction roller so as to be able to incline the rotating shaft of the meandering correction roller in a one direction; a collar member that is provided on the rotating shaft of the meandering correction roller, contacts the side end of the endless belt in which meandering has occurred, and moves in an axial direction; and an inclination guide portion that is supported by the support frame and has an inclined surface downward and inclined with respect to the shaft of the meandering correction roller, in a position in which the contact portion of the collar member contacts the inclination guide portion.

摘要： A position detection apparatus detects a position of a target in a predetermined direction. One end of a swinging member contacts the target, and the other end contacts a moving member. Sensors are arranged to output signals corresponding to a position of the moving member that corresponds to a position of the moving member. A detection unit detects the position of the target based on the output signals of the sensors. Measured parts are disposed on the moving member along loci of measuring positions of the sensors so that the sum total of the output signals becomes an even number. The detection unit determines that any one of the sensors failed in a case where the sum total of the output signals of the sensors is an odd number.

摘要： An image forming apparatus transfers toner images of respective colors, formed on photosensitive drums, onto an intermediate transfer belt conveyed in a predetermined direction to thereby form a color toner image. A steering roller tilts the intermediate transfer belt in a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction. 摘要： A belt failure detecting mechanism includes a rocking arm connected to a ground contact portion and an urging member configured to urge one end of the rocking arm against an inner surface of an end of a heating belt. When the end of the heating belt is not broken, the end of the rocking arm is in contact with the inner surface of the end of the heating belt, and the other end of the rocking arm does not contact to a detection switch so that an electric power is supplied to a heating device. When the end of the heating belt is broken, the end of the rocking arm is displaced to an outer side of the heating belt so that the other end of the rocking arm contacts to an electric element so that a fuse is blown to stop the electric power supplied to the heating device.
