In accordance with one aspect of the invention, a management component within the storage operation system may monitor system operation and migrate components from storage operation cell to another to facilitate failover recovery, promote load balancing within the system and improve overall system performance as further described herein. Another aspect of the invention may involve performing certain predictive analyzes on system operation to reveal trends and tendencies within the system. Such information may be used as the basis for potentially migrating components from one storage operation cell to another to improve system performance and reduce or eliminate resource exhaustion or congestion conditions.

摘要： Content items stored on a client device can be imported to a content management system. The client device can be configured to search on the client device for specified file extensions to identify content items to be imported. The search can be of the entire memory, or alternatively, locations known to likely include content items. For example, the search can be based on folders known to be used by content management applications to store content items. Upon identifying content items, an import interface can be presented to the user that enables the user to select whether to proceed with the import. Further, the import interface can enable the user to select import parameters such as the type of import and which content items to import. A user can be enabled to select a subset of content items based on a variety of gathered metadata associated with the content items.

摘要： Systems and methods are presented which allow a user's device to accept media from a variety of sources, process those media items based on their characteristics, and deliver the captured media to a pre-established variety of diverse locations with minimal or no user interaction. These systems and methods can also make media items available to a plurality of interne web sites without actually creating and delivering copies of files. In one embodiment, the diverse locations can each have individual delivery protocols (for example, login and formats) and when a number of media are available at the user's device for delivery to storage locations the media can be delivered to pre-established locations with a single user command without regard to the individual location delivery requirements. In another embodiment, processing, delivery, and access to new media items is handled automatically based on pre-established criteria and analysis of the data and metadata of the media items themselves. While unobtrusive user feedback is displayed during media processing, no user attention or intervention is required as long as no changes to the default settings are desired.

摘要： Presented herein are methods of replicating versioned and hierarchical data structures, as well as data structures representing complex transactions. Due to interdependencies between data entities and a lack of guaranteed message ordering, simple replication methods employed for simple data types cannot be used. Operations on data structures exhibit dependencies between the messages making up the operations. This strategy can be extended to various types of complex transactions by considering certain messages to depend on other messages or on the existence of other entries at the data store. Regardless of origin, these dependencies can be enforced by suspending the processing of messages with unsatisfied dependencies until all of its dependencies have been met. Alternately, transactions can be committed immediately, creating entities that include versioned identifiers for each of their dependencies. These entities can then be garbage collected of the parent objects are not subsequently created.
