摘要： Techniques for propagation of deletion operations among a plurality of related datasets are described herein. In an embodiment, a data processing method comprises, using a distributed database system that is programmed to manage a plurality of different raw datasets and a plurality of derived datasets that have been derived from the raw datasets based on a plurality of derivation relationships that link the raw datasets to the derived datasets: from a first dataset that is stored in the distributed database system, determining a subset of records that are candidates for propagated deletion of specified data values; determining one or more particular raw datasets that contain the subset of records; deleting the specified data values from the particular raw datasets; based on the plurality of derivation relationships and the particular raw datasets, identifying one or more particular derived datasets that have been derived from the particular raw datasets; generating and executing a build of the one or more particular derived datasets to result in creating and storing the one or more particular derived datasets without the specified data values that were deleted from the particular raw datasets; repeating the generating and executing for all derived datasets that have derivation relationships to the particular raw datasets; wherein the method is performed using one or more processors.

摘要： The disclosed apparatus, systems, and methods relate to a location query mechanism that can efficiently determine whether a target entity is located within a region of interest (ROI). At a high level, the location query mechanism can be configured to represent a ROI using one or more polygons. The location query mechanism can, in turn, divide (e.g., tessellate) the one or more polygons into sub-polygons. Subsequently, the location query mechanism can use the sub-polygons to build an index system that can efficiently determine whether a particular location is within any of the sub-polygons. Therefore, when a computing device queries whether a particular location is within the region of interest, the location query mechanism can use the index system to determine whether the particular location is within any of the sub-polygons.

摘要： In a database cluster comprising a plurality of mirrored database segments, a mirror database pair comprising a primary database and a mirror database are maintained substantially consistent by writing changes resulting from transactions to page data in parallel to the primary database and to the mirror database. Changes are sent to the mirror database over a network using network communications. Transaction logs are also written to the primary and mirrored databases in parallel, the transaction logs being sent to the mirror database using network communications. Bulk load changes resulting from transactions are written in parallel over the network to the primary database and the mirror database without writing the changes to a transaction log. In the event of a failure, resynchronization of the mirror database can be performed quickly while avoiding a lengthy ongoing redo process on the mirror database.

摘要： Mechanisms are provided for importing pre-existing data into a storage system utilizing a current storage management system that is different from an original storage management system used to create the pre-existing data. One or more data storage devices are integrated into the storage system in-place without modification of the pre-existing data stored on the one or more data storage devices. Metadata for the pre-existing data is created based on a linear progression of data in the pre-existing data. Read access requests targeting the pre-existing data are executed using the created metadata. Write access requests targeting the pre-existing data are executed by redirecting the write access requests to a copy of the pre-existing data created in another storage location.
