摘要： Video and corresponding metadata is accessed. Events of interest within the video are identified based on the corresponding metadata, and best scenes are identified based on the identified events of interest. Events of interest can be tagged within the video based on, for instance, user input, audio signals, motion vectors, and metadata corresponding to the video. A camera system can process video data based on the events of interest tagged within the video before outputting the video data. For instance, video scenes associated with tagged events of interest can be combined to form a video highlight clip. Likewise, portions of video tagged with events of interest can be encoded or stored at a higher resolution or frame rate than other portions of the video.

摘要： In accordance with one embodiment, an intelligent video thumbnail selection and generation tool may select a relevant and visually stimulating image from a video file and generate a thumbnail including the image. The image may be selected by computing a relevancy metric for an image in the file based on one or more selected relevant features, and comparing that relevancy metric with the metric of at least one other image in the file. In another embodiment, a series of images in a video file may be divided into shots. One of the shots may be selected based on a shot relevancy metric and a key image from the shot may be selected as a thumbnail based on a key image relevancy metric, where the shot relevancy metric and the key image relevancy metrics may be computed based on one or more relevant content features.

摘要： A playback speed effect is applied to a video using a playback speed template. The playback speed template specifies playback speed ratios (i.e., ratios between playback duration and capture duration) at the highlight moment, at a template start time, and at a template end time. A video associated with a highlight tag indicating a highlight capture time of a highlight moment within the video is accessed. An input portion of the video including the highlight moment is identified. The duration of the input portion has a duration depending on the template start time and the template end time. A playback speed template is applied to the input portion. A modified video including a modified video portion is generated from the input portion of the video according to the applied playback speed template and is provided for subsequent playback.

摘要： Systems and methods are described herein for a media guidance application that can cause a specific portion of a media asset to be stored based on a user command. For example, if the user requests the closing scene from a given movie, the media guidance application may detect the command, determine that it comprises an instruction to store a portion of a media asset, identify a source of the portion of the media asset, and cause the portion of the media asset to be stored. The media guidance application may also cause the entirety of the media asset to be stored and initiate playback at the start of the requested portion. This may allow users to store and watch portions of particular interest without requiring that the users seek through the entire media asset on their own.

The videos are classified into different scenes, depending on the type of action in the video, so searching can be based on the type of scene. In one embodiment, tags are provided for moving objects or people. The type of object that is moving is tagged (car, ball, person, pet, etc.). Video search results are ranked based on the weighting of the video events or video summaries. The video summary weighting focuses on important events, with multiple videos/images over a period of time condensed into a short summary video. This creates a weighted video summary with different time-lapse speeds that focuses on important events.

摘要： A process builds extracts for video programs based on search query spikes during transmission of the video programs. The process is performed at a server system with one or more processors and memory storing programs configured for execution by the one or more processors. The process identifies a plurality of search query spikes from search queries submitted by a plurality of users, and correlates a subset of the search query spikes to a broadcast video program. Each correlated search query spike corresponds to a respective location in the video program. The process constructs a snippet of the video program by stitching together portions of the video program that contain the locations corresponding to the correlated search query spikes. In some implementations, the portions extend to video scene boundaries before and after each location. In some implementations, video program subtitles are used to match search query spikes to video program locations.
