摘要： An adapter may facilitate easy and swift data transfer amongst two previously incompatible electronic devices. Such an adapter may be operative to communicate data with a first of the two electronic devices using a contactless communication link and a first communication protocol and to communicate data with a second of the two electronic devices using a mechanical communication link and/or using a second communication protocol that is different than the first communication protocol, such that data may be transferred between the first and second electronic devices via the adapter. The adapter may be communicatively coupled to both the first electronic device and the second electronic device at the same time. The adapter may rapidly transition between communicating data with the first device and communicating data with the second device (e.g., without altering a physical connection between the adapter and one of the first and second devices during such a transition).

The method includes determining respective current data storage levels of transmit buffers that store different types of data for USB communication; comparing the respective current data storage levels of the transmit buffers with corresponding respective predetermined threshold levels; and controlling an input rate or output rate of a first transmit buffer if it is determined based on the comparison that the first transmit buffer has a current data storage level that exceeds a predetermined threshold level.

The chassis controller, via a wireless interface, transmits a chassis map to the wireless device over the wireless connection. The chassis controller, via the wireless interface, transmits to the wireless device, an indication of a first port to be cabled over the wireless connection, the first port. The first port is of a first hardware component of the plurality of hardware components. The chassis controller tests the first port to determine whether cabling of the first port has been performed correctly.

More specifically, the embodiments related to structures and techniques for implementing multiple logical representations of audio functions in a wireless audio transmitter, such as a USB dongle configured to transmit and to receive audio data wirelessly via, for example, a Bluetooth link. In one embodiment, a wireless USB audio transceiver can include a multiple mode transmitter configured transmit wireless signals at multiple data rates. Further, the wireless USB audio transceiver can include a first data path modeled as a first audio function, and a second data path modeled as a second audio function. Also, included is a signal detector configured to determine the presence of the audio data on a data path for modifying transmission data rates as a function of the presence of the audio data.

Data is received at the wireless communication device via a wireless transmission. The data represents visual content that is viewable via a display device. A graphical user interface, including a delayed action selector, is provided via the display device. An input is received within a limited period of time after displaying the delayed action selector. The input is associated with a command to delay execution of an action with respect to the data until the wireless communication device has access to a second set of capabilities. The action is not supported by the first set of capabilities but is supported by the second set of capabilities. An indication of receipt of the input is provided at the wireless communication device.
