    • There are disclosed a laser projector configured to project an image to a back side of a screen and to detect a touch input, comprising a light source configured to irradiate at least one of red, green and blue lights, an infrared light emitting device configured to emit an infrared light to the screen, a light synthesis system configured to synthesize image information comprising color information for each pixel with the light irradiated from the light source so as to emit the synthesized light, a scanner configured to project the synthesized light toward the screen for each pixel, a detector configured to detect an infrared light reflected by an object approaching the screen, and a controller configured to control operations of the light source, the infrared light emitting device and the scanner and to recognize touch input based on the information detected by the detector, such that the laser projector that may perform the projection of the image to the screen and the touch recognition simultaneously may be provided, only to be small-sized.

    • A system for determining a location of an object on a planar surface includes a time-of-flight sensor having sensing elements that provide a field of view for the time-of-flight sensor. The system also includes a mirror attached to the shaft of a motor for reflecting the field of view of the time-of-flight sensor across the planar surface. The system also includes electrical circuitry configured to receive range images from the time-of-flight sensor as the field of view is swept across the planar surface and process the range images to identify the object in at least one of the range images. The electrical circuitry is also configured to calculate a location of the object on the planar surface relative to the motor based on an angle of the shaft associated with the at least one range image and based on a distance of the object from time-of-flight sensor.

    • A pointing input system includes a sheet-like light beam layer and a detector. The sheet-like light beam layer abuts a display screen and is distributed on a surface of a display screen, and includes plural light beams. The sheet-like light beam layer is generated by at least one light-generating module having a dot light source. The detector is for detecting a light spot composed of plural reflective beam when a physical object is intervened into the sheet-like light beam layer, so that a pointing input operation is performed on a specified position of the display screen corresponding to the light spot. Once the physical object is intervened into the sheet-like light beam layer, the light beams are sheltered by the physical object, so that the light spot with a reflective bright border is resulted from a touching action of the physical object.
