摘要： Disclosed is a device for storing elements, wherein each element includes a first wireless communication unit, wherein the device includes at least one drawer assembly including: a drawer including a bottom defining at least one slot to receive an element; for each slot, a second wireless communication unit capable of transmitting radio frequency waves and designed to communicate with all the first communication units; the bottom of the drawer consists of a material that is able to be traversed by radiofrequency waves emitted by each second communication unit, wherein each second communication unit is arranged under the bottom of the drawer opposite the corresponding slot to allow communication between the second communication unit and the first communication unit of an element received in the slot.

If a preceding reading is within a threshold amount of the current reading, then the preceding reading is stored as a verified value. The method removes jitter and drift in the signals produced by the load cells (6) of the cash till.

At least one of the memory resources stores a basic input/output system (BIOS). The one or more processing components are coupled to the memory resources to run a program for operating a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The program enables a user to provide an input to open a cash drawer. A controller circuit receives a signal from the BIOS when the user provides the input and generates a pulse signal having a predetermined duration to cause a voltage signal to be transmitted to a solenoid of the cash drawer. The voltage signal causes the solenoid to change states in order to open the cash drawer.
