摘要： An alert system to assist in child safety in a vehicle includes a seat belt buckle insert adapted to be inserted between the male and female parts of a standard safety belt found in most automobiles or for a child car safety seat. It may also include a portable receiver device designed to be carried by a vehicle operator. The seat belt buckle insert detects whether the seat belt has been buckled and the temperature is within an acceptable range, as well as the approximate distance between the seat belt buckle insert and portable receiver device. The seat belt buckle transmits information gathered to the portable receiver device and triggers alerts notifying the vehicle operator of a child's safety status.

摘要： Security systems and methods configured for use with an item of merchandise for retail display include a housing, at least one sensor carried by the housing and at least one output device carried by the housing. The security system further includes a controller carried by the housing and operably coupled to the sensor and to the output device. The controller is operable to determine a distance traveled by the item of merchandise from a retail display “home” position based upon a sensor input from the sensor, and to activate the output device based upon the distance traveled by the item of merchandise exceeding a threshold distance. The controller may utilize the at least one sensor in conjunction with an inertial navigation system (INS) and motion processing algorithms or techniques to determine the distance traveled by the item of merchandise from the retail display “home” position.

摘要： Systems and methods for detecting a breach of a proximity threshold associated with a first electronic device comprising a first electronic device configured to transmit a first wireless signal; and a second electronic device configured to: 1) measure a strength of the first wireless signal, 2) determine, based on the measured strength of the first wireless signal, a proximity of the second electronic device to the first electronic device, 3) instruct the first electronic device, via a second wireless signal, to subsequently transmit the first wireless signal at a predetermined interval corresponding with a proximity of the second electronic device to a proximity threshold associated with the first electronic device, and 4) measure a strength of the first wireless signal being transmitted at the predetermined interval to detect when the second electronic device breaches the proximity threshold associated with the first electronic device.

摘要： A safety system comprised of safety devices each worn by a caretaker and up to three people requiring minding, that alerts using color coded LED lights and audible tones when a monitored person is in danger. The device alerts if the person is beyond a preset distance, is close to or is in a body of water, or signals they are in trouble, using phased-array radar coupled with image processing.The phased-array radar allows the remote sensing of water in either daylight or night. The phased-array radar comprises multiple antenna elements including an independent antenna element phase shifter allowing beamsteering. The device scans an object using a preset beamsteering algorithm independent of movement. The multiple antenna elements and beamsteering improve image data accuracy which is then interpreted and correlated with a body of water characteristics. The phased-array radar is also used for caretaker-monitored person communications.

摘要： A school perimeter security system includes a registry database including: registered student mobile device identifiers, registered non-student mobile device identifiers, and a matching of students with authorized non-students with whom the students are permitted to be paired with near the perimeter. At least three beacon devices are located within the school's perimeter, positioned to establish a boundary area near the perimeter, detect and establish communication with mobile devices entering the boundary area, obtain an identifier from each mobile device that enters the boundary area, and facilitate tracking of all mobile devices within the boundary area. The processor and beacon devices interact to identify every mobile device entering the boundary area, track their location within the boundary area, compare the identified mobile devices with identifiers in the registry database and, transmit an alert notice when a condition is satisfied but not transmit that alert when a different condition is satisfied.
