摘要： A virtual reality vehicle and/or equipment training system and platform within contextually relevant simulated environments. The system and platform simulates accurate vehicle and/or equipment dynamics of various vehicles through vehicle modules. The simulated vehicles and/or equipment are placed within contextually relevant simulated physical environments, and communicate with other vehicle modules and users of the platform. The system and platform allows for multiple simulated vehicles and/or equipment to exist and interact in the same simulated physical environment. The system allows for rapid development of trainers for different vehicles, different equipment, different physical environments, and different scenarios. The characteristics of the system which most directly enable this rapid development are the use of commodity computer hardware, use of common interface-deployment toolkits, and use of a data-driven architecture where participating modules are generic until being configured at runtime. The system and platform is capable of responsiveness measurement and assessment of a simulator occupant.

摘要： A motion assembly that produces pitch and roll motions includes lower and upper plates. A pivotable coupling having upper and lower shafts extending from its center is coupled between the upper and lower plates. At least two linear actuators are coupled between the plates. Extension and retraction of the actuators pivots the upper plate about the pivotable coupling relative to the lower plate. A vehicle includes two steerable propulsion wheels coupled to a chassis. A lower plate of a pitch and roll assembly, similar to that just described, couples to the chassis via a slew bearing. Seating is coupled to the upper plate. The seating rotates with respect to the chassis via controlled rotation of the slew bearing with reference to the chassis. The seating can be rotated to point in any direction with respect to the chassis regardless of the direction the steerable propulsion wheels move the chassis.

摘要： A motion simulator capable of being manufactured to have a small size so that an occupied area can be reduced, is provided. The motion simulator includes: an upper frame; a lower frame; a first link portion configured to have a bottom end hinged to one side of a rear end of the lower frame and a top end connected to one side of a rear end of the upper frame so that pitching rotation of the upper frame is performed, and to move one side of the rear end of the upper frame in a vertical direction using a first driving unit; a second link portion configured to have a bottom end hinged to the other side of the rear end of the lower frame and a top end connected to the other side of the rear end of the upper frame so that pitching rotation of the upper frame is performed, and to move the other side of the rear end of the upper frame in the vertical direction using a second driving unit; a third driving unit configured to be provided on the lower frame; and a third link portion configured to support a lower portion of the upper fame so that pitching and rolling rotation of the upper frame is performed, and to move the upper frame in the vertical direction using the third driving unit.

摘要： This mechanism for driving motions of a surface of spherical, ellipsoidal, plane, or other shape comprises a pair of drive wheels mounted on a freely pivoting frame, each wheel being driven by its own bidirectional motor. The motors and the active electronics of an angle encoder are mounted in an associated fixed frame, so no slip rings or other rotating connections are needed for motor power and control, or for determining the rotation angle of the pivoting frame. Control of the motors provides differential rotation of the two wheels to effect controlled rotation of the pivoting frame, and therefore of wheel direction. This avoids the use of a separate motor for changing the direction of motion of the surface.

摘要： A virtual-reality navigation controller includes a base and a seating portion. The seating portion includes a seat for supporting a weight of a user seated thereon and a back-rest coupled to the seat to move integrally with the seat and to support the user's back. The virtual-reality navigation controller further includes a vertical support to support the seating portion on the base, and a rotatable connector between the seating portion and the vertical support to tilt the seating portion about a rotational center of the rotatable connector when the user is seated on the seat. A radius of an arc formed by the tilting about the rotational center ranges from 300 mm to 800 mm. The virtual-reality navigation controller further includes a motion-detection controller to measure pitch corresponding to the tilt of the seating portion.
