摘要： Provided herein are systems and apparatus for reducing vibration interaction between hard drives. In one implementation, a flexible mount electrical connection comprises a mating connector configured to physically couple with a hard drive connector and a plurality of electrical pins having a connector portion positioned within the mating connector configured to electrically couple with hard drive connector pins positioned within the hard drive connector. Each electrical pin has an extended portion extending away from the mating connector. The extended portion has an attachment portion configured to electrically couple the respective electrical pin to a printed circuit board, and the extended portion has a shape formed therein configured to reduce transmission of vibrations in the connector portion along each axis of a three-dimensional space to the attachment portion.

In one aspect, a drive carrier rail is configured to have variable widths to facilitate positioning a drive carrier in a fixed position within a slot (of a rack) where a drive is disengaged from the base plane printed circuit board (PCB). In another aspect, at least one slot rail of a slot includes a (e.g., sheet metal) spring. The spring allows a drive carrier to rest on the spring in a fixed position where the hard drive is disengaged from the base plane printed circuit board.

The computing device also includes a removable a HDD carrier for insertion into the drive slot having a bracket for securing the HDD and a track pin extending therefrom and configured to be inserted into the horizontal track via the pin insertion portion and configured to restrict the removable HDD carrier to horizontal motion when the track pin engages with the pin retaining portion. The HDD carrier includes a handle pivotably attached to the bracket with a guide pin for inserting into the vertical receiving groove and configured to alternate between a loading position and a locked position.

In the unlocked position, the locking mechanism does not restrict movement of the electrical connector in the at least one degree of freedom relative to the base. The data storage device is co-movably coupled to the electrical connector.

The slotted aperature passes through the storage drive base from the interior side to the exterior side. The flexible circuit has a first end and a second end. The first end of the flexible circuit is installed in the slotted aperture and aligned so that the first end extends along an interior surface of the storage drive base in a location proximal to the slotted aperture. The sealing-adhesive barrier is applied between edges of the slotted aperture and the flexible circuit to form a hermetic seal between the exterior side and the interior side of the storage drive base.
