摘要： The present invention provides a fuel cell system and a startup and shutdown method therefor for avoiding carbon corrosion. The fuel cell system includes at least one fuel cell reaction module with at least one anode chamber to contain an anode reaction fluid. The method includes steps of: (a) executing a shutdown mode, (b) conducting and connecting a first load to the fuel cell reaction module so as to consume the anode reaction fluid remained in the anode chamber, (c) providing a buffer fluid to the anode chamber and disconnecting the first load from the anode chamber; (d) maintaining the fuel cell system shutdown, (e) executing a startup mode, (f) providing the anode reaction fluid to the anode chamber, and (g) conducting and connecting a second load to the fuel cell reaction module and maintaining the fuel cell system operated continuously.

摘要： A fuel cell system of the present disclosure performs a first and a second catalyst activation process, and the first catalyst activation process is performed where a flow rate of the air supplied to the fuel cell by the air compressor is reduced to be less than that before the refresh control is performed while keeping an amount of a current drawn from the fuel cell by the fuel cell converter at the same value as that before the refresh control is performed, and the second catalyst activation process is performed where the value of the current drawn from the fuel cell by the fuel cell converter is increased to be greater than that before the refresh control is performed while keeping the flow rate of the air supplied to the fuel cell by the air compressor at the same value as that before the refresh control is performed.

The fuel cell includes electrically conductive bipolar plates, arranged between which there is in each case a cathode, including a fluid-conducting cathode space, a membrane and an anode, including a fluid-conducting anode space. There is provision that the method includes the following steps in the specified order: purging the anode space with a fluid in order to expel fuel, impressing electricity on a unit composed of the cathode (2k)/membrane (1)/anode (2a) by applying a current and/or a voltage, wherein the fluid is applied to the anode space or continues to be so, switching off the electricity, and introducing a fuel into the anode space.

The fuel cell includes a gas channel to which a reactant gas is to be supplied to generate electricity. The controller is configured to control the discharge device to discharge the electricity from the fuel cell in a case where the collision prediction device predicts that the probability of collision of the vehicle is higher than a predetermined probability.

The controller sets a target increase amount ΔV, based on a target voltage which is a target value of voltage relative to a predetermined electric current of the fuel cell. The controller sets a processing condition of a temporary voltage drop process, based on the target increase amount ΔV. The controller performs a temporary voltage drop process under the set processing condition. The temporary voltage drop process temporarily drops the voltage of the fuel cell based on a power generation characteristic of the fuel cell, so as to cause a temporary increase in electric current of the fuel cell and change the power generation characteristic of the fuel cell.
