    • Devices and systems, and methods of using them, for point-to-point transmission/communication of high bandwidth signals. Radio devices and systems may include a pair of reflectors (e.g., parabolic reflectors) that are adjacent to each other and configured so that one of the reflectors is dedicated for sending/transmitting information, and the adjacent reflector is dedicated for receiving information. Both reflectors may be in a fixed configuration relative to each other so that they are aligned to send/receive in parallel. In many variations the two reflectors are formed of a single housing, so that the parallel alignment is fixed, and reflectors cannot lose alignment. The device/systems may be configured to allow switching between duplexing modes. These devices/systems may be configured as wide bandwidth zero intermediate frequency radios including alignment modules for automatic alignment of in-phase and quadrature components of transmitted signals.

    • An antenna apparatus is provided which has a centroid close to a vibration isolation structure and which is hard to vibrate like a pendulum motion when vibration is applied. The antenna apparatus includes a first base plate, an antenna unit disposed at a side of the first base plate and supported by the first base plate, and a counter weight unit disposed at another side of the first base plate opposite to the antenna unit and supported by the first base plate. The antenna apparatus further includes a vibration isolation structure having one end fixed to the first base plate to suppress a vibration of the first base plate, and a second base plate to which other end of the vibration isolation structure is fixed and which is fixed to a moving object or a structural object.

    • An antenna includes a main reflector with a focal circle about an axis. A waveguide horn extends from the main reflector along this axis. A sub-reflector is mounted beyond the distal end of the waveguide horn with an annular gap remaining between the sub-reflector and the distal end of the waveguide horn. The annular gap forms a radial transmission line between a first wall on the sub-reflector and a second wall having outer annular corrugated surfaces on the distal end of the waveguide horn. The first wall of the transmission line is a body of revolution of elliptical shape on the sub-reflector. This ellipse is tilted at an angle with respect to the axis, and has a first focal point on the axis. The other focal point is preferably on or near the focal circle. The phase center of the waveguide horn does not coincide with either foci.

Radio waves comprised of a vertical polarized wave and a horizontal polarized wave are transmitted to the power feeding waveguide. The main reflection mirror is disposed to face the sub reflection mirror and outwardly radiates the radio wave reflected by the sub reflection mirror. A front surface of the main reflection mirror has a shape formed by rotating a line reaching one side and the other side of a predetermined parabola curve at least once, around a rotational axis. A front surface of the sub reflection mirror has a shape formed by rotating either one of a stepped line and a wavy line around the rotational axis.
