    • A shield unit is formed such that each divided piece of a shield member, which is inserted through each slit of a shield shell and pulled out therefrom, is crimped together with a corresponding extension piece of the shield shell and crimped onto the shield shell. At that time, the outer surface of the divided piece slides on the corner at the outer edge of the slit to scrape the oxide layer off the surface of the divided piece. Each divided piece of the shield member is crimped together with each folded portion from the extension piece of the shield shell and crimped on a base of the shield shell, thereby electrically connecting the outer surface of each divided piece with the aluminum surface exposed to the base with excellent electrical conductivity.

    • Coaxial cable connectors. In one example embodiment, a coaxial cable connector for terminating a coaxial cable is provided. The coaxial cable includes an inner conductor, an insulating layer, an outer conductor, and a jacket. The coaxial cable connector includes an internal connector structure, an external connector structure, and a conductive pin. The external connector structure cooperates with the internal connector structure to define a cylindrical gap that is configured to receive an increased-diameter section of the outer conductor. The external connector structure is configured to be clamped around the increased-diameter section so as to radially compress the increased-diameter section between the external connector structure and the internal connector structure. The conductive pin is configured to deform the inner conductor.

    • A stabilizing coupling body assembly for a coaxial connector is provided with a coupling body dimensioned to couple at a connector end of the coupling body with a cable end of the connector. A jacket grip of rigid material is retained between the coupling body and a stabilizing body coupled to a cable end of the coupling body. An outer diameter of the jacket grip abuts an annular wedge surface of the stabilizing body. The wedge surface is provided with a taper between a maximum diameter proximate a connector end of the jacket grip and a minimum diameter proximate a cable end of the annular wedge surface. The jacket grip is driven radially inward as the stabilizing body is advanced axially towards the coupling body. Methods of manufacture include forming elements of the coupling body assembly via injection molding.
