摘要： A power unbalance mitigating polarity correction circuit is presented comprising a first and a second polarity correction circuit, each comprising: an input for receiving an input current, an output for providing a rectified output current, at least a first current path, for conducting the received current when the received current is of a first polarity, and a second current path, for conducting the received current when the received current is of a second polarity, wherein the first current path comprises a passive rectification component as an asymmetric conductance component of a first type and the second current path comprises an active rectification component as an asymmetric conductance component of a second type different from the first type; the power unbalance mitigating polarity correction circuit further comprising a controller, wherein the controller is arranged for controlling the active rectification component to operate in a power unbalance mitigation mode when the current received by the first polarity correction circuit is conducted over the first current path of the first polarity correction circuit and the current received by the second polarity correction circuit is conducted over the second current path of the second polarity correction circuit.

摘要： Reverse battery protection circuits for devices powered by batteries coupled in parallel can include both P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs. Each positive battery terminal connector of a battery-powered device can be coupled to a gate of an N-channel MOSFET or to both a gate of an N-channel MOSFET and a gate of a P-channel MOSFET. In some embodiments, each negative battery terminal connector of the device can be connected to a gate of a P-channel MOSFET. In the event of a reverse battery connection, one or more of the protection circuit's P-channel and N-channel MOSFETS can switch to a non-conductive state to isolate the device's load from an incorrectly installed battery and prevent the incorrectly installed battery and/or other parallel-coupled battery from prematurely discharging. Methods of protecting a load from a reverse battery connection are also provided, as are other aspects.

摘要： A semiconductor integrated circuit device is configured such that if, due to an erroneous connection or the like, an abnormal state is entered in which an output voltage is lower than a ground potential VSS, an N-type DMOS transistor and a first P-type MOS transistor are turned off and a voltage is applied to their parasitic diodes in the opposite direction, preventing a current from flowing. In a normal state in which the output voltage is higher than the ground potential, at least one of the N-type DMOS transistor and first P-type MOS transistor, which are connected in parallel, is turned on, preventing a current from flowing into the parasitic diode of the N-type DMOS transistor.

摘要： A surgical instrument includes an end effector with a first jaw and a second jaw. The instrument also includes a first drive assembly, a first motor coupled to the first drive assembly, a second drive assembly, a second motor coupled to the second drive assembly, a control module, and a closure trigger. The first motor is operable to motivate the first drive assembly, and the second motor is operable to motivate the second drive assembly. The control module is operably couplable to the first motor and the second motor. The closure trigger is movable during a closure stroke to transition the end effector to the approximated configuration, and to transition the control module from operable engagement with the first motor to operable engagement with the second motor.

摘要： An electronic system for a surgical instrument is disclosed. The electronic system comprises a main power supply circuit configured to supply electrical power to a primary circuit. A supplementary power supply circuit configured to supply electrical power to a secondary circuit. A short circuit protection circuit coupled between the main power supply circuit and the supplementary power supply circuit. The supplementary power supply circuit is configured to isolate itself from the main power supply circuit when the supplementary power supply circuit detects a short circuit condition at the secondary circuit. The supplementary power supply circuit is configured to rejoin the main power supply circuit and supply power to the secondary circuit, when the short circuit condition is remedied.

摘要： A system for driving a plurality of high powered LED units, the system comprising a single driver for providing ripple free constant direct current to a plurality of high powered LED lamp units, wherein the single driver comprises a digital controller programmable to adjust the ripple free constant direct current at every predetermined time interval based on detection and computation of the duration taken for the energy to be discharged to the LED lamp unit to adjust the ripple free constant direct current. The above system achieves a one driver to many LED lamp units such that it alleviates or eliminates the need to have a driver attached to each LED lamp unit.
