    • A motor may include a rotor having a rotation shaft, a stator disposed on an outer peripheral side of the rotor, a frame fixed to the stator, and an urging member made of metal for urging an end part on an output side of the rotation shaft to an opposite-to-output side. The frame includes a bottom face part, a stator fixing part which is formed to be bent from the bottom face part and which is fixed to the stator, and a shaft support part which is formed to be bent from the bottom face part so as to face the stator fixing part and which supports the end part on the output side of the rotation shaft, and the urging member is fixed by welding to an output side face which is a face on an output side of the shaft support part. The urging member is preferably a flat spring.

The bearing holding part is formed with a bearing hole which penetrates through the bearing holding part and on which the output side bearing is disposed, and the output side bearing is disposed on the bearing hole in a movable state in the axial direction of the rotation shaft.

    • A motor that is capable of both linear and rotational motion. One coil translates the motor along its axis for linear motion and a second coil causes the shaft to rotate. Coacting with the translate coil is a translate magnet where the north and south poles are oriented along the motor shaft. A segmented magnet where alternating north and south poles are located along the periphery of the magnet interacts with a rotation coil so that the interaction of the magnetic field of the segmented magnet and the magnetic field produced by the rotation coil cause the rotary magnet to rotate. Rotation of the rotary magnet, which cooperates with the shaft to which it is operably connected, causes rotation of the motor shaft.

    • A two-phase electro-mechanical stepper motor having 1) a high ratio of torque per mass and torque per power draw, to be able to develop required rotating torque, 2) a magnetic circuit that allows developing of a significant holding torque while using a limited amount of electric power, and 3) two disk rotors positioned on either side of the stator with aligned poles. The actuator has a shaft extending into the actuator, and a first and second rotor, each fixedly mounted on the shaft, and each having a permanent magnet mounted thereon in opposing fashion. Additionally, there is a stator, loosely mounted around the shaft and positioned between the opposing permanent magnets, and having at least a first and second pole extending toward the first and second rotors respectively. Furthermore, there is a first and second wire coil wrapped around the first and second pole respectively to allow the formation of a first and second electromagnet respectively by passing electrical current through the first and second wire coil. The invention also has the first and second magnets each having at least a north and south pole magnet region with a transition line located therebetween, wherein the transition lines on the first and second magnet are misaligned as viewed along the shaft. A variation of the invention replaces the misaligned transition lines with misaligning the first and second poles as viewed along the shaft.
