    • In a cycloconverter generator, there are provided, q number of power circuits that supply rectified DC power of a DC power supply unit as operating power to the p(p>q) number of thyristors, and r(p>r) number of thyristor drive circuits that are connected to the q number of the power circuits and drive the p number of the thyristors, wherein the r number of the thyristors drive circuits are individually used to drive in common ones among the p number of the thyristors whose operation is unaffected even if driven at the same timing such that the number r of the drive circuits is made smaller than the number p of the thyristors, thereby enabling to simplify circuit configuration.

    • A programmable motor controller for receiving three-phase input power at an input power frequency and having a polarity is presented. The controller includes a primary chopper for reversing each phase of electrical power according to a reference frequency. Each primary chopper has a power input, a signal input, and an output. The power input is electrically connected in wye connection to each phase of power. A transformer for each phase of power has primary and secondary terminals and is connected electrically by its primary terminals to the output of the primary chopper. A secondary chopper for each phase of power is configured to reverse each phase or electrical power according to the reference frequency and phase shifted according to a second reference signal. The secondary chopper has an input connected electrically to the secondary terminals of the transformer in an output connected to a winding of a motor.

    • A power conversion apparatus includes a power converter, an LC filter, and a controller. The power converter is disposed between an AC power source and a load. The LC filter is disposed between the AC power source and the power converter. The controller controls the power converter to perform power conversion control between the AC power source and the load. The controller includes a command generator, an oscillation component acquirer, a regulator, and an actuator. The command generator generates an input current command including a command of an input current of the power converter. The oscillation component acquirer acquires an oscillation component of a current flowing through a capacitor of the LC filter. The regulator regulates the input current command based on the oscillation component acquired by the oscillation component acquirer. The actuator controls the power converter based on the input current command regulated by the regulator.

    • A control circuit for generating gating signals to drive the SCRs of an AC switch coupled between a three phase AC source and a three phase load. A reference voltage signal is derived from the source and, after filtering, is applied to a squaring amplifier. The amplifier output is applied to a phase-locked loop (PLL). The output signal of the voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) of the PLL is fed back to the phase comparator thereof via two dividing counters. The output of one counter is applied to a logic block for generating a ramp reset signal in phase with a selected source phase-to-neutral voltage. The ramp reset signal is applied to a ramp forming circuit the output of which is applied to a first input of a comparator. The comparator receives a DC control voltage on its second input and provides on its output a gating signal corresponding to the source selected phase. Alternate pulses of that gating signal are separated to form two selected phase gating signals that are respectively applied as data inputs to two shift registers. The shift registers receive the VCO output as a clock signal and the remaining gating signals are provided, with appropriate phase delay, on the shift register outputs.
