摘要： There are disclosed various methods and apparatuses for amplifying a signal. In some embodiments of the method a signal is provided to an input (S) of a transconducting element (T) of an amplifier. An amplified signal is formed on the basis of the input signal by the transconducting element (T). The amplified signal is provided to an output stage. A negative conductance (Rneg) in the output stage is used to adjust a gain and a noise figure of the amplifier. The amplified signal is provided via a feedback element (βCfb) to another input (G) of the transconducting element (T). In some embodiments the apparatus comprises means for implementing the method.

摘要： An wideband amplifier circuit such as a transimpedance amplifier achieves improved amplifier and/or system performance, such as a reduced input impedance. The transimpedance amplifier may use a complementary common gate stage that receives an input signal and generates current to a current summing stage. In one instance, an input current is received by a complimentary common gate stage that includes a first common gate transistor and a second common gate transistor, each having different polarities, in which the first terminals of each of the transistors are configured to receive the input current. Each of the transistors generates an output current to a current summing stage that generates an output voltage at an output terminal. The output voltage may be based on the combined currents from the first common gate transistor and second common gate transistor.

摘要： A power amplifier includes a common source amplifier and a common gate amplifier circuit. The common source amplifier circuit has a terminal connected to a radio frequency (RF) input terminal and uses a source terminal commonly as an input terminal and an output terminal of the power amplifier. The common gate amplifier circuit has a terminal connected to the common source amplifier circuit and another terminal connected to an RF output terminal, and uses a gate terminal commonly as the input terminal and the output terminal of the power amplifier. The common gate amplifier circuit includes a Doherty amplifier including a main power amplifier and an auxiliary power amplifier that is connected to the main power amplifier in parallel.

The input side matching circuit is connected between an input port and the source terminal of the field effect transistor and outputs an input signal that changes with a bias voltage as a center value. The output side matching circuit is connected between an output port and the drain terminal of the field effect transistor. The capacitor is connected between the gate terminal of the field effect transistor and a first reference voltage source. The resistor is connected between the gate terminal of the field effect transistor and the first reference voltage source.

摘要： A receiver comprises a Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) configured to amplify an input signal and a resonant circuit coupled to the LNA. A first switch couples current from the resonant circuit to a first capacitor integrating a first voltage, wherein the first switch is enabled with a clock signal. A second switch couples current from the resonant circuit to a second capacitor integrating a second voltage, wherein the second switch is enabled with an inverse clock signal. A differential amplifier comprises a positive input for receiving the first voltage and a negative input for receiving the second voltage in order to produce a sum and a difference frequency spectrum between a signal spectrum carried within the current and a frequency of the clock signal.

摘要： A front-end receiver includes an amplifier that has a steady gain over a wide frequency range. The disclosed amplifier adopts an architecture in which a common-source (CS) circuit stacks against a common-gate (CG) circuit. The CG circuit provides the input impedance matching while the CS circuit boosts the amplification gain. As a result, the disclosed amplifier allows the front-end receiver to break free from a tradeoff between input impedance matching and gain boosting. Moreover, the disclosed amplifier achieves power saving and noise reduction by having the CS circuit to share the same bias current with the CG circuit.
