摘要： An emitter of an optical signal includes a laser source including a control input for receiving an injection current able to modify the frequency of the optical signal, this laser source emitting the optical signal at a frequency v0 in the absence of injection current, a feedback loop able to produce an injection current that is able to decrease the linewidth of the optical signal, this feedback loop including to this end an optical filter a pass band of which contains a preset operating point corresponding to a frequency vb, and a loop for automatically controlling the frequency vb to the frequency v0, and wherein the feedback loop includes an electrical filter that is able to selectively attenuate, in the produced injection current, the amplitude of frequency components generated by the automatic-control loop.

摘要： A wavelength locker integrated with a silicon photonics transmission system comprising a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate and an input via a power tap coupler to receive a fraction of a transmission signal with one or more frequencies from a primary output path of the silicon photonics transmission system. The wavelength locker further includes a splitter configured to split the input to a first signal in a first path and a second signal in a second path and a first delay-line-interferometer (DLI) coupled to the second path to receive the second signal and configured to generate an interference spectrum and output at least two sub-spectrums tunable to keep quadrature points of the sub-spectrums at respective one or more target frequencies. The wavelength locker is configured to generate an error signal fed back to the silicon photonics transmission system for locking the one or more frequencies at the one or more target frequencies.

摘要： An optical converter is to be simply and reliably monitored. Thereto, a circuit device including a measurement bridge with a measurement branch, a first comparison branch and a second comparison branch is provided. A conductor path loop of the converter can be integrated in the measurement branch. The first comparison branch has a first series resistance variable via a first active element. Similarly, the second comparison branch has a second series resistance variable via a second active element. The first and the second active elements are respectively controllable by the same control signal. The circuit device further has an evaluation circuit with a first comparator and a second comparator, the outputs of which form the control signal and at the same time an output signal of the circuit device in AND-gated manner. Each comparator compares a tap of its respective comparison branch to a tap of the measurement branch.

The processing elements are configured to determine average powers from the extracted portions. The comparator is configured to compare the average input power and the average output power. The control element operates a heater coupled to the modulator based on the comparison.
