摘要： A network device may include a first forwarding board, a second forwarding board and an interface board. The interface board may include a control apparatus and a network interface chip. The control apparatus may form a first upstream packet flow which is sent to the first forwarding board via a first I/O bus and a second upstream packet flow which is sent to the second forwarding board via a second I/O bus using data packets received through the network interface chip from the exterior of the network device. The control apparatus may selectively connect one of a first downstream packet flow and a second downstream packet flow to the network interface chip through the network interface bus according to an active/standby state of the first forwarding board and the second forwarding board, wherein the first downstream packet flow is processed by the first forwarding board and received through the first I/O bus and the second downstream packet flow is processed by the second forwarding board and received through the second I/O bus.

The method includes receiving a request to identify the physical port associated with the virtual machine. 摘要： A system, a shelf, and a high density platform optimize the physical arrangement of cards to maximize cooling effectiveness and line card pitch while minimizing backplane trace lengths between line interface and switch fabric cards. The shelf and system and associated card arrangement supports scaling to a larger, double-size system that maintains the required length of backplane traces for card communications without compromising card cooling. Advantageously, the shelf and system maintains full NEBS compliance through an arrangement supporting full air intake/outtake through a front and/or back of the shelf or system, i.e. no side ventilation, and includes a false front to ensure all cards (switch fabric and line interface cards) are substantially flush with one another.

摘要： Certain aspects are directed to a base station router disposed in a distributed antenna system. The base station router includes a backplane and a controller. The backplane can manage an availability of sectors for coverage zones. Each sector can include communication channels to be radiated to mobile devices in the coverage zones and can represent an amount of telecommunication capacity. The controller can respond to a traffic indicator by causing the backplane to redistribute the availability of at least one sector. The sector can be redistributed from a first coverage zone to a second coverage zone.

摘要： Power Over Ethernet (POE)/universal power over Ethernet (UPoE) may be enabled at multigigabit port-channel connections. This may allow for additional speed support in auto-negotiation messages while employing multigigabit speeds. An integrated connector module (referred to herein as a “ICM”) compatible with UPoE with a modified local physical layer (PHY) circuit may be capable of supporting multi-gigabit data rates (such as between 1 G to 10 G, e.g., 2.5 G and 5 G) as to not limit the data rates to 1 G. The ICM may provide multi-gig data transmission through a first plurality of pins comprising a multi-gig data pin area. Furthermore, the ICM may provide UPoE power to support the multi-gig transmission through a second plurality of pins comprising a UPoE power pin area.
