摘要： A wireless communication device may form a wireless network in which the wireless communication device operates as a master station, terminate a wireless connection with a target apparatus in a case where a wireless connection request is received from a specific external apparatus under a state of a number of slave apparatuses being equal to an upper limit number K, establish a wireless connection with the specific external apparatus, and perform a wireless communication of first target data with the specific external apparatus by using the wireless network. The wireless communication device may terminate the wireless connection with the specific external apparatus, and establish a wireless connection with the target apparatus via the first wireless communication interface, so as to cause the target apparatus to participate as the slave station in the wireless network again.

摘要： Automated collaboration for peer-to-peer electronic devices, in which a user profile is registered for a peer-to-peer network. The user profile defines rules for automated collaboration among electronic devices connected to the peer-to-peer network. An electronic device connected to the peer-to-peer network discovers a new electronic device joining the peer-to-peer network. The electronic device sends, to the new electronic device, the user profile and automatically, without user input at the electronic device or the new electronic device, negotiates with the new electronic device to determine how the electronic device and the new electronic device will collaboratively work together to meet the rules specified in the user profile. Based on the negotiation, the electronic device collaborates with the new electronic device in a manner that results in the new electronic device handling at least a portion of an event at the new electronic device.

摘要： The present invention relates to an application that is configured to be operated in a multi-participant environment on a computer network. The application manages participants in an online session of a multi-user application so that if one of the participants exits the session, the session can continue without interruption. The application initiates an online session of the multi-user application, wherein the online session includes two or more participants comprised of network computers that are communicatively linked to a computer network. If the application detects that a first participant has disconnected from the online session, wherein the first participant is responsible for managing certain managerial functionality associated with the running of the multi-user application, then the application broadcasts a notification to existing participants of the online session over the communication network, thereby notifying the existing participants that the first participant has disconnected from the online session. The initiating application then re-assigns the functionality associated with the first participant to an existing participant of the online session. The participants can be communicating in a peer-to-peer arrangement or can be performing server duties in a client-server arrangement.

To select groups, the social networking system determining scores for various groups representing a likelihood of the user interacting with the groups. When determining a score for a group, the social networking system accounts for a likelihood of the user providing content to the group as well as the user accessing or viewing content associated with the group. Based on the scores, one or more groups are selected and presented to the user. Additionally, the social networking system may apply one or more diversity rules so that the selected groups have a variety of characteristics.

摘要： Machines in a managed network implement a set of rules that cause individual machines to directly interact with only a small number of machines in the network. Independent local actions of the individual machines collectively cause the individual machines to be self-organized into one or more communication orbits without any global control or coordination by a server or an administrator. The communication orbits are used for supporting security management, including, at a first node of the network, receiving a security management message from an upstream neighbor through a respective receiving channel from the upstream neighbor to the first node; performing one or more security management operations in accordance with the security management message received from the upstream neighbor; and forwarding the security management message to a downstream neighbor through a respective propagation channel from the first node to the downstream neighbor.

Upon receiving a response from a node in the membership target, the node from which the response was received may be removed from the beacon. The membership may be deployed when a response has been received from each of the nodes identified in the membership target.

摘要： An application, peer and method for determining a faulty peer in a structured Peer-to-Peer overlay network. The overlay network includes plural peers besides the faulty peer. The method includes determining that a message sent from a given peer to a target peer along a first path did not reach the target peer; determining an intermediate peer at which the message had arrived; using a second path to send the message from the given peer to the target peer; determining that the message had arrived at the target peer on the second path; adjusting a node identifier (nodeID) of at least one of the target peer and the intermediate peer to obtain a new target peer or a new intermediate peer; and reusing the first and second paths to send the message to the new target peer or the new intermediate peer until the faulty peer is detected.
