摘要： In an apparatus, a reception unit receives information indicating an end of image process in an external apparatus or information indicating an occurrence of an error in the external apparatus. A display control unit causes a display unit to display predetermined information based on the information received by the reception unit. An acquisition unit acquires a constraint condition for causing the display unit to limit a display of the predetermined information. A determination unit determines whether an operating state of an apparatus capable of controlling the display unit meets the constraint condition. When the determination unit determines that the operating state meets the constraint condition, the display control unit limits the display of the predetermined information on the display unit based on the information received by the reception unit.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are described for transparently processing a fax transmission by a fax software program in a mobile device. In one embodiment, the fax software program identifies an incoming call at the mobile device. Upon the identification, the program prevents a display screen of the mobile device from outputting an incoming call ringing alert. The program answers the incoming call and analyzes the call to detect whether the answered call is a voice call. Upon detecting that the answered incoming call is a voice call, the program outputs the incoming call ringing alert via the display screen. Otherwise, if the answered incoming call is a fax transmission, the program merges the call with a fax server, such that the fax server receives the fax transmission. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

摘要： A system and method for real time translation of scanned documents includes a multifunction peripheral having intelligent controller including a processor and associated memory. A scan engine generates an electronic image of a tangible document and a touchscreen user interface receives a user scan instruction. The scan operation generates a scan file and a generated image of the document is displayed on the touchscreen. A user selects an area of the generated image via the touchscreen. An optical character recognition operation generates a character based file which is then translated from a source language to a target language. The resultant translation is then displayed on the touchscreen.
