摘要： A system and method for maintaining and optimizing a fleet of multifunction peripherals is operated by use of a smartphone or tablet computer. Fleet changes are provided in multiple categories such as software updates, configuration changes and feature activation. A user is provided with a dashboard having a selectable indicia for each category. Devices are monitored and machine learning provides for recommendations for each category. A badge showing a number of recommendations for each category is displayed with its selectable indicia. When an indicia is selected, an associated recommendation is displayed and implemented if accepted. Once accepted, the dashboard is regenerated with updated badge information reflecting an accepted implementation.

摘要： A system and method for customizing a multifunction peripheral user interface includes a multifunction peripheral with a document processing controller including a processor and memory. The memory stores identified electronic customization groups, each comprised of electronic files. The memory also stores device customization data sets, each data set corresponding to document processing in the multifunction peripheral. A print engine and a scan engine are operational by instructions issued from the controller. The processor generates indicia on a display identifying each of the customization groups and receives a user selection of one or more customization group. A customizations menu listing available customizations from the selections is displayed along with a document processing options menu including corresponding device customization data sets. Selectable user interface packages, where at least one of the interface packages includes a document processing options menu, are stored in the memory.

摘要： In some implementations, a user interface is adjusted using a set of customization rules and displayed on a user device. A first subset of customization rules is selected from among a set of customization rules that is associated with an application on a user device. A user interface is generated based at least on the selected first set of customization rules. After generating the user interface, user interaction data is received, and sensor data from the user device is also received. A second subset of customization rules is selected that includes one or more rules different from the first subset of customization rules. The user interface is adjusted according to the selected second subset of customization rules and provided for display on the user device.

The image processing apparatus is shared by a plurality of users and capable of selecting a destination from a plurality of address books and carrying out file transmission to the destination. It is determined whether or not a user has logged in, and when it is determined that the user has logged in, only personal addresses for the logged-in user are displayed on a display unit. The personal destinations displayed on the display unit are switched to destinations other than the personal destinations according to selection by the user. When it is determined that the user has not logged in, all destinations which are registered in the plurality of address books are displayed on the display unit.

摘要： Upon a user selecting and associating document data and a digital multifunction peripheral on a computer screen, the document data associated with the selected digital multifunction peripheral is searched for, scan settings using the document data as model data are extracted, and the extracted scan settings, as well as information as to a storage location of the document data are transmitted to the digital multifunction peripheral, in order to request button registration. The digital multifunction peripheral receiving the request presets the received scan settings, registers a scan and transmit button using the received storage location as a transmission destination, and displays it through a user interface. Upon pressing the scan and transmit button, a document is scanned with the scan settings associated therewith and the acquired document data is transmitted to the transmission destination associated with the scan and transmit button.
