摘要： A method of DRM protection for an image or a series of images or a succession of video frames, comprises: generating a reversible transform; applying the reversible transform to a source image; compressing the transformed image into a bitstream; and supplying the bitstream to a recipient for consumption. At the recipient the bitstream is decompressed and sent to the image display hardware with the transform still in place. A key is used to generate the inverse transform at the recipient and the inverse transform is then carried out in the image display hardware. An additional transform may be applied to the image following the inverse transform to offset pixels from an average value. Thus the source image itself is never exposed at the recipient although the image can be correctly viewed.

摘要： Certain embodiments provide an image forming apparatus including: a scanner scanning an original document; a network interface receiving a print request; a print unit printing out scan data from the scanner, and print spool data from the network interface; and a controller controlling a storage device to store a plurality of job files including a copy job for printing the scan data, a print job for printing the print spool data, and a scan job for transmitting the scan data to the outside, to set whether to overwrite data for the job files when any one of the copy job, the print job, and the scan job is performed, and to embed confidential document stamp data in a sheet printed out by the copy job or the print job, and an image file generated by the scanner job when the data overwrite is selected.

The sheet reading portion reads image data from a transparent sheet tinted with a predetermined color owned by a user. The assimilation surveying portion looks for, out of printable colors, a particular color that assimilates to the color of the read image data. The color changing portion changes, out of the data of a predetermined document accepted from the user, the color of the data of a concealable character, which is a character concealed when overlaid with the transparent sheet, to the found particular color. The printing portion prints, out of the data of the document, the data of the concealable character in the particular color.

摘要： A method is provided for encoding a latent image having at least two color components into a visible image. A first and second image associated with first and second color components, respectively, are generated. The first image has a first pattern of elements and the second image has a second pattern of elements that are manipulated based on a corresponding color component provided in the latent image. A first and a second angle are assigned to the first image and the second image, respectively. The first image and second image are aligned by orienting the first pattern of elements according to the first angle and second angle, respectively. The aligned first image and second image are superimposed to render an encoded image that is decoded using a decoder that simultaneously display the first color component and the second color component of the latent image to present a color composite image.

A color image on the image displaying medium is composed of plural mesh points whose shape is an ellipse having linearity. The mesh point has, for example, a color of cyan, magenta, yellow, or black in the CMYK system. The color image is a composite image composed of a displaying image and a latent image. When the composite image is viewed through a lenticular lens, a moire pattern having thick vertical lines corresponding to the displaying image and a moire pattern having thin oblique lines corresponding to the latent image appear.

摘要： A method of authenticating an object using optically decodable encoded images is presented. The method comprises attaching a digital data storage medium to the object and storing an optically decodable digital encoded image in the data storage medium. The digital encoded image comprises authentication information determinable by decoding the digital encoded image. The method further comprises downloading the digital encoded image from the digital data storage medium and applying a digital decoding algorithm to the captured digital image to establish a decoding result. The decoding result is then compared to object authentication criteria to establish an authentication result.

A scanning system may include a scanning head configured to read documents comprising characters, marks, and images. The scanning system may include an encryption algorithm for encrypting the scanned data, a processor to use the encryption algorithm to encrypt the data scanned by the scanning head, and an output port to output the data encrypted by the processor. The scanner may encrypt the scanned data substantially immediately after at least some of the data scanned by the scanning head.
