The smart TV has a network interface, configured to connect the smart TV with a mobile device via a network; and a processing unit, configured to execute a first remote virtual keyboard application for activating a remote virtual keyboard mode of the smart TV; wherein the processing unit further generates an input interface comprising a first virtual keyboard when the smart TV generates an input column in response to an input demand; wherein when the remote virtual keyboard mode of the smart TV is activated and there is the input demand, the processing unit hides the first virtual keyboard without being displayed, and uses the mobile device to replace the hidden first virtual keyboard for accepting input from a user.

摘要： A software application and system that enables point-and-click interaction with a TV screen. The application determines geocode positioning information for a handheld device, and uses that data to create a virtual pointer for a television display or interactive device. Some embodiments utilize motion sensing and touchscreen input for gesture recognition interacting with video content or interactive device. Motion sensing can be coupled with positioning or localization techniques the user to calibrate the location of the interactive devices and the user location to establish and maintain virtual pointer connection relationships. The system may utilize wireless network infrastructure and cloud-based calculation and storage of position and orientation values to enable the handheld device in the TV viewing area to replace or surpass the functionality of the traditional TV remote control, and also interface directly with visual feedback on the TV screen.

摘要： A system and method for text entry in a user interface in a large display is provided. The improved on-screen keyboard is displayed and provides a rotating character row on the large display when a text entry window is presented. The rotating character row comprises a first plurality of characters for selection from a first subset of characters of a character set. The character set loops around in a circular fashion when a beginning or an end of the character set is reached allowing continuous rotation of the character set. Directional input is received from a remote control input device wirelessly coupled to the electronic device to rotate the character set to facilitate selection of individual characters. The user can then select character from the character set for entry into the text window.

摘要： A remote resource access interface apparatus is provided. A key input unit has keys for generating input key values. A communication unit transmits a connection establishment request message including screen resolution information to, and receives a connection establishment response message including supportable key information from, a portable device. The communication unit transmits input key information to and receives video information from the portable device after establishing the connection. A pixel information processing unit converts the video information to pixel signals for a video output unit to display as a visual image. A key advisor unit extracts supportable key information from the response message and outputs the supportable key information to the video output unit. The video information is video data adjusted in resolution based on the screen resolution information, and the input key value is mapped to one of key values indicated by the key information of the portable device.
