摘要： An image forming system that is convenient for a user even when an image forming apparatus is directly connected to a network in addition to an image control apparatus. The image forming system includes an image control apparatus and an image forming apparatus. The image control apparatus includes a first communication member connected to an external apparatus through a network, a second communication member connected to the image forming apparatus through a predetermined transfer path, and a port controller that controls switching of a predetermined network port of the first communication member. The image forming apparatus includes a third communication member connected to the external apparatus through the network, and a fourth communication member connected to the image control apparatus through the predetermined transfer path. The port controller closes the predetermined network port in a case where both of the third and fourth communication members are valid.

摘要： An image processing system comprises a portable terminal and multiple image processing apparatuses. The portable terminal comprises: a determining portion which determines a target identification operation proving the identify of a target image processing apparatus; a display which displays information about the target identification operation; and an instructing portion which instructs the multiple image processing apparatuses to return answer information. The multiple image processing apparatuses each comprises: a detector which detects that the operation corresponding to the target identification operation has been performed; and a transmitter which transmits to the portable terminal, the answer information and apparatus information. Then the portable terminal further comprises: a receiver which receives the answer information and the apparatus information; and an identifying portion which identifies the target image processing apparatus based on the answer information and the apparatus information.

The scanning unit of the scanning apparatus is combined with a user scanning unit and a user printing unit into a combination apparatus, and the scanned result is printed in a printing apparatus spaced-apart from the scanning apparatus by a distance, thereby removing cables between the scanning or printing apparatus and a personal computer. Regardless of an attachment state of the external storage unit, the document is scanned in the real time, and the scanning apparatus is commonly used with a plurality of personal computers which are not connected to the scanning apparatus.
