摘要： A method and system for visualizing micro-contrast. At least one processor obtains a selected root image from a digital video, generates an assistive image, and blends the assistive image with the selected root image to obtain a mutated image, which configured to be displayed by a display device. The selected root image includes root pixels each associated with color values. The assistive image is generated based on a plurality of micro-contrast scores comprising a micro-contrast score calculated for each of at least a portion of the root pixels. The micro-contrast score is calculated for a selected one of the root pixels by identifying a submatrix centered at the selected root pixel, and calculating the micro-contrast score for the selected root pixel based on the color values associated with only sample pixels positioned one each at corners of the submatrix.

摘要： An apparatus includes a filter circuit and an encoder. The filter circuit may be configured to (i) calculate a noise level of a frame of a video signal based on a subset less than all of a plurality of blocks of the frame, where each of the blocks in the subset may have an associated weighted activity to variance ratio that exceeds a threshold value and (ii) generate a filtered video signal based on the noise level. An estimated noise level of each of the blocks in the subset may be selected from one of (a) an activity of the block, (b) another activity of a reference block of another frame and (c) a sum of absolute pixel differences between the block and the reference block. The encoder may be configured to generate a bitstream by encoding the filtered video signal.

摘要： Provided are an image processing device and an electronic endoscope system that can acquire a high-quality endoscope observation image by performing sufficient noise reduction processing even if an image capture environment changes. A noise reduction processing unit sets a pixel of interest and a neighboring pixel out of a plurality of pixels that constitute an endoscope observation image, and performs noise reduction processing on the pixel of interest according to a magnitude relationship between: a difference in pixel value between the pixel of interest and the neighboring pixel; and a reference threshold value. A reference threshold value changing processing unit changes the reference threshold value for noise reduction processing based on a ratio between at least two color components that are included in the pixel of interest.

摘要： A system access a reference frame and temporally adjacent frames. For each portion of the reference image frame, the system calculates a pixel distance value between the portion of the reference image frame and a corresponding portion of each temporally adjacent image frame. If the pixel distance value indicates a potential ghosting artifact, the system computes a set of spatial noise reduction values for the image portion. Otherwise, the system computes a set of temporal noise reduction values for the image portion. The system blends the sets of computed spatial noise reduction values and the sets of computed temporal noise reduction values, and generates a modified reference image frame based on the blended set of noise reduction values.

摘要： A system determines for each color channel of each portion of the image, a corresponding adjustment value to apply to the color channel to correct for a color irregularity. The system determines a corrected adjustment value based on a difference between twice the pixel value and the maximum saturation value. If the adjustment value as applied is larger than the corrected adjustment value, the system applies the adjustment value to the corresponding color channel of the image portion to produce the adjusted color channel. Otherwise, the system applies the corrected adjustment to the corresponding color channel of the image portion to produce an adjusted color channel. The system generates a modified image based on the adjusted color channel.

摘要： A system identifies a scaling position in a captured image, and identifies red subpixels adjacent to the scaling position. The system computes a scaled red subpixel for the scaling position based on the identified red subpixels according to constraints. The system further computes a scaled blue subpixel based on identified adjacent blue subpixels, according to constraints, and computes a scaled green subpixel position based on Gr and Gb subpixels adjacent to the scaling position according to certain constraints. The system then generates a scaled image representative of the captured image, the scaled image including at least the scaled red subpixel value, the scaled blue subpixel value, and the scaled green subpixel value.

摘要： An image processing system includes an a noise detection unit that extracts a local statistical characteristic of a predicted original image according to a local statistical characteristic of an observed image and a local statistical characteristic of a predicted noise image, sets a flag level indicating a distortion state for each of pixels of the observed image according to the local statistical characteristic of the predicted original image, zones the observed image through a filter window, determines distortion states of adjacent pixels, corrects the flag level, and detects noise, and a noise removal unit that adaptively sets a filter size according to the corrected flag level and removes the noise, when the corrected flag level is determined through the noise detection unit, and therefore it is possible to implement adaptive noise detection and removal techniques of a distorted image damaged by noise, and detect a contour to the corresponding pixels into undistorted pixels.

The filtering method includes transforming video data on a block-by-block basis, and detecting the presence of an edge region in the video data by checking the distribution of values obtained by the transformation. 摘要： A system accesses an image with each pixel of the image having luminance values each representative of a color component of the pixel. The system generates a first histogram for aggregate luminance values of the image, and accesses a target histogram for the image representative of a desired global image contrast. The system computes a transfer function based on the first histogram and the target histogram such that when the transfer function is applied, a histogram of the modified aggregate luminance values is within a threshold similarity of the target histogram. The system modifies the image by applying the transfer function to the luminance values of the image to produce a tone mapped image, and outputs the modified image.
