摘要： Systems and methods for precision downstream synchronization of digital streaming content on an edge content processor in the absence of access to pixel-level data by a video player app operative on the edge content processor are disclosed. Encrypted video streams are synchronized to unencrypted video streams using acquired knowledge of the edge content processor's latency, i.e., the time elapsed between a command to render a video frame and that frame being displayed by the edge content processor. Once a predicted time of display of an encrypted video is obtained by a video player app operative on the edge content processor, a corresponding RGBA video frame is delayed by an amount of time equal to that predicted time minus the edge content processor's latency before a command to render it is issued by the video player app, thereby ensuring both frames are displayed simultaneously.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for control of data and content protection mechanisms across a network using a download delivery paradigm. In one embodiment, conditional access (CA), digital rights management (DRM), and trusted domain (TD) security policies are delivered, configured and enforced with respect to consumer premises equipment (CPE) within a cable television network. A trusted domain is established within the user's premises within which content access, distribution, and reproduction can be controlled remotely by the network operator. The content may be distributed to secure or non-secure “output” domains consistent with the security policies enforced by secure CA, DRM, and TD clients running within the trusted domain. Legacy and retail CPE models are also supported. A network security architecture comprising an authentication proxy (AP), provisioning system (MPS), and conditional access system (CAS) is also disclosed, which can interface with a trusted authority (TA) for cryptographic element management and CPE/user device authentication.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for secure communication of digital information between a transmission entity and at least one reception entity. The method may be applied in the domain of audio/video data transmission, where stuffing data packets comprising random payloads are inserted into a transport stream along with true data packets comprising the audio/video data. The dummy data packets are detectable by an authorized reception entity but not detectable by unauthorized reception entities. A large number of stuffing data packets are included in the transmission to occupy bandwidth and to further render the job difficult for an unauthorized reception entity which tries to intercept the transmission.

摘要： In general, in one aspect, a multi-content composition pipeline encrypts protected video streams that may be utilized as part of a composite window using different encryption keys so that each encrypted video stream has a unique security domain. The protected video streams may be received as encrypted and compressed video streams that are decrypted and decoded (decompressed) and then the decompressed video streams may be encrypted. The encryption keys used to encrypt the decompressed video stream may be related to the encryption keys used to decrypt the corresponding encrypted compressed video stream. The encrypted decompressed video streams are stored in memory until they are needed for generating the composite window at which point they are read from memory and decrypted. The composite window is generated from the decrypted uncompressed video streams and possibly other content in real time and thus is not stored in memory prior to transmission to a display.
