摘要： Systems and methods for location estimation and tracking for passive RFID and wireless sensor networks in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a process for obtaining location information using an RFID reader system includes transmitting a combined interrogation and ranging signal from a plurality of antennas, where the ranging signal is a pseudorandom signal, receiving a backscattered return signal from an RFID tag at one or more receive antennas, extracting an information signal from the return signal and decoding the information signal to obtain RFID tag data, extracting a received ranging signal from the return signal, and estimating a range to the RFID tag based upon correlation between the ranging signal and the received ranging signal.

摘要： A signal sending device, a signal receiving device, and a signal sending and receiving system and method are presented. The devices and system combine a plurality of sense data into a data packet to transmit the data packet. Through the method, the data packet is processed, received, and sent under a transmission mechanism based on independent data packets. Therefore, the plurality of sense data and overhead data are combined into a data packet, and thus the redundant overhead data is reduced, so as to reduce the time spent on sending actual data to a transmission channel, thus improving the efficiency of data exchange and saving electrical energy.

摘要： Diagnosing faults in a hardware appliance. Information is read by a hand-held reader from one or more contactless tags associated with one or more components in a hardware appliance. One or more component faults and/or issues are identified based on the read information. A query is formed based on the identified one or more component faults and/or issues. A diagnostic database in the hand-held reader is queried, based on the formed query, and one or more query results are displayed in a ranked order on a display of the hand-held reader. In one aspect of the embodiments, the information read from the one or more contactless tags includes a pointer to a datastore in one of the one or more components. An ad hoc wireless network connection is established with the hardware appliance, and information in the datastore is downloaded over the connection.
