    • A process for forming an artificial reef includes the steps of forming a form having a geometric shape, applying at least one blockout onto a surface of the form such that the blockout extends outwardly of the surface of the form, applying a sprayable concrete over the form and the blockout, curing the sprayable concrete on the form for a period of time, removing the blockout from the surface of the form and from the cured sprayable concrete, and removing the form from the cured sprayable concrete. A base is formed having an upper surface. The lower end of the form is positioned upon the base. The sprayable concrete is sprayed over the upper surface of the base.

    • A method for manufacturing an artificial reef based on industrial waste is disclosed. Industrial wastes, including red mud, blast furnace slag, the sludges from the factories of refining raw ore, broken pieces of glass, the stone powders from the anti-pollution facilities equipped in stone- or aggregate-extracting spots, the slurries from the terminal treatment plants of water and sewage, the ashes from the incinerators for household wastes, the pulp sludges and slurries from paper mills, the coal ashes from thermoelectric power plants, and the side-products produced upon coal mining, are utilized, alone or in combination with a plasticizer and a mineralizer, in constructing artificial fishing reeves through pug-milling, molding and thermal treatment processes. The artificial fishing reef, through which the industrial wastes are converted into environment-affinitive resources, have advantages of being economically favorable and producing no pollution of the environment.

    • An offshore reef assembly includes semi-cylindrical reef members extending generally perpendicular to the shore line and arranged in upper and lower tiers so that the open side of the upper tier faces downwardly and the open side of the lower tier faces upwardly. The semi-cylindrical members in the upper tier are offset from those of the lower tier to divide and deflect vertically moving water laterally through an ogee curvature from one reef member to a laterally offset and inverted reef member, thus dividing and dissipating the kinetic energy of the water to cause the deposition of sand and particulates on the bottom around the reef assembly. The reef assembly is inexpensive both to construct and install.

    • The artificial reef module for coral reef remediation of the present invention includes a central body having an upper settling plate, a middle settling plate, and a lower settling plate. Extending from the central body is a plurality of primary tines which further include a plurality of secondary tines extending from them. The primary tines include the supporting tines, the stabilizing tines, and the space filling tines. The branching of the tines closely replicates the appearance of natural branching coral. Over time the individual artificial reef modules for coral reef remediation would slowly degrade and allow the tines to break off. This degradation closely approximates the fragmentation that occurs with natural branching coral.
