摘要： The application relates to an intelligent power server applied to a protection and control system for an intelligent substation. According to the application, merging unit and intelligent terminal integrated devices for all bays in the intelligent substation are directly accessed to the intelligent power server. Each merging unit and intelligent terminal integrated device is accessed to one of transport ports on the intelligent power server through an embedded high-bandwidth switched communication network. The intelligent power server realizes measurement and control and protection functions of primary devices throughout the substation and exchange of total station information and a telecontrol function.

The secondary devices are connected to a communication network for controlling an industrial process, which industrial process can include a plurality of operational aspects of primary devices. Sender secondary devices are configured to send data packets, which can include a multitude of data objects, to predetermined receiver secondary devices via the communication network, wherein the data packets transmitted via the communication network are captured, a functional interrelation or operational aspect of the secondary devices and the primary devices is retrieved from an SCD-file representing the formal configuration of the substation is retrieved, and the secondary devices are grouped according to the retrieved operational aspect and a time sorted graphical representation of the data objects, the secondary devices and the operational aspects is generated.

The electric power system device may further generate a response in a pre-selected human language, and may transmit the response using the communication ports.

摘要： A protective control system includes an IED (Intelligent Electric Device) and a merging unit. The merging unit receives a current/voltage waveform signal of a power system, and outputs a digitally converted analog data to a process bus via a communication line as a serial signal. The IED is configured to be capable of transmitting a trip instruction to the merging unit using both the process bus and a station bus. The trip instruction is for outputting the trip signal. Preferably, each of the merging unit and the IED includes a switching circuit that makes switching to the station bus when an error is detected in the process bus communication. In the event of the process bus error, communication made by the process bus is switched to communication made by the station bus. Accordingly, reliability of the process bus can be improved.

摘要： An Industrial Automation and Control System (IACS) for an industrial process including several neighbouring zones connected via a boundary element. The IACS includes a number of communicatively interconnected Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), wherein low-level IEDs interact with primary devices, and wherein high-level IEDs implement high-level zone functions. The IACS includes a logical communication link between the two high-level IEDs for bypassing the connecting IED in case of communicative unavailability. The communication link enables exchange between the high-level IEDs of summarized information including data originating from low-level IEDs of a first of the zones and relevant for a high-level function on behalf of some other zones. This reduces the communication load at the higher level function while maintaining an availability level comparable to a completely central solution.

摘要： An automation controller may wirelessly poll a plurality of remote monitoring devices configured to monitor an electric power distribution system and store monitored system data collected therefrom. The automation controller may be wirelessly coupled to the plurality of remote monitoring devices using a spread-spectrum protocol, such as Bluetooth®. The automation controller may gather the monitored system data using the Distributed Network Protocol (DNP3). DNP3 packets may be communicated as the payload of Bluetooth® packets. The spread-spectrum protocol may limit the number of devices to which the automation controller may be actively connected at one time. Accordingly, the automation controller may couple and uncouple from the remote monitoring devices in a round-robin pattern to collect the monitored system data from all of the remote monitoring devices. The automation controller may provide engineering access and/or collect relay event data using the spread-spectrum protocol and a high-bandwidth protocol.
