    • A mold core includes first and second main bodies and an adjustment assembly. The first main body includes a front surface, a rear surface opposite to the front surface, and a receiving cavity passing through the front and rear surfaces. The front surface defines two first cavities at opposite sides of the receiving cavity. A connection line of centers of the first cavities intersects with a symmetry axis of the first cavities to form a first intersection point. The second main body includes a forming surface defining second cavities. A connection line of centers of the molding cavities intersects with a symmetry axis of the second cavities to form a second intersection point. The forming surface is coplanar with the front surface. The adjustment assembly abuts the first and the second main bodies to compensate an offset between the first and second intersection points to satisfy a predetermined range.

    • A polarizing plastic lens comprising a polarizing film with low tendency to detachment from an optical resin layer. There is provided polarizing plastic lens comprising polarizing film constituted of a polyvinyl alcohol resin. Two optical resin layers of different thicknesses may be disposed on both surfaces of the polarizing film. The optical resin layers are formed by polymerizing a polymerization raw material composition in contact with the polarizing film. The polymerization raw material composition contains as one main component an isocyanated or isothiocyanated compound. The iscocyanate or isothiocyanate functional group reacts with the hydroxyl of polyvinyl alcohol resin of polarizing film to thereby form an urethane bond or thiourethane bond, so that the optical resin layers are strongly unified with the polarizing film.

    • A centering device (13) is arranged to surround a loading table (11) on which a lens blank (1) is to be set, to set the geometric center of the lens blank (1) to coincide with the center of the loading table (11). The centering device (13) includes three clamp pins (31) which press the peripheral surface of the lens blank (1). When centering is ended, the loading table (11) on which the lens blank (1) is set is pushed up by a moving device (12) from a centering position (H1) to a block position (H2), and a peripheral portion of the lens blank (1) on a concave surface side is urged against the lower surfaces of locking portions (31A) of clamp pins (31). After a predetermined amount of wax (4) is dripped onto the lens blank (1), a lens holding unit (2) is moved downward by a predetermined amount and urged against the wax on the lens blank (1) to spread the wax thin and let the wax to solidify. Thus, the lens blank (1) and lens holding unit (2) are bonded to each other.
