摘要： There is a grain aeration system for a grain bin. The system includes a gas entry duct configured to receive gas and a gas distribution pipe extending upwardly from the gas entry duct and having a height. The gas entry duct extends along a base of the grain bin. The gas distribution pipe includes a permeable section and an impermeable section. The permeable section includes a plurality of perforations. The permeable section is above the impermeable section. There is also a grain bin, having a surrounding wall and roof. There is a gas entry duct extending from outside the surrounding wall to inside the surrounding wall and a gas distribution pipe extending upward from the gas entry duct. The gas distribution pipe has a permeable section above an impermeable section.

摘要： A grain aeration system facilitates thorough and efficient aeration of grain within a grain bin. The system includes a grain bin having a top vent and a bottom vent. A stand is positioned within the grain bin. A duct includes a loop section supported on the stand and an extension extending from the loop section out through the bottom vent in the grain bin. The duct has a duct wall and a plurality of perforations extending through the duct wall. A blower drives air flow out of the bottom vent creating air flow into the grain bin through the top vent and into the duct wherein the blower is configured to aerate grain positioned within the grain bin.

The system comprises a grain bin storage device, a ventilation fan, a variable fan drive motor, and a controller configured to receive user input and grain bin storage device parameters. The system controls operation of the ventilation fan at various speeds to maintain a desired volumetric flow rate per bushel of grain. The controller monitors the static pressure within the grain bin storage device and adjusts the speed of the ventilation fan based on an optimal static pressure derived from the user input and grain bin storage device parameters.

摘要： A method and apparatus for treating bagged materials. A bagging machine is equipped with feed tubes that feed a conduit through a bag filling tunnel of the machine and through the open end of the bag and into the bag. The conduit is perforated and when the bag is filled, the length of the conduits is extended out through the bag end to be connected to a treatment media, e.g., forced air. An opening is provided at the rear end to provide an exhaust opening for air that is forced into the conduit, out the perforations and through the bagged material. The air will dry the material to lower the moisture content or provide oxygen as may be desired to enhance decomposition. Water may also be introduced as desired.

摘要： A roof vent system for a grain storage device is disclosed. A roof vent including a lid is operatively connected to the roof panel adjacent the opening. The lid is configured to move between an open position and a closed position. A bias member configured to apply an upward bias force to the lid to automatically move the lid to the open position. A control lever that is movable between an upper position and a lower position. The control lever is operably connected to the lid by a pull. When control lever is moved to the lower position with a force greater than the bias force of the bias member, the lid is moved to the closed position. A sealing member attached to the lid is configured to provide a seal between the lid and the roof panel when the lid is moved to the closed position.
