摘要： A composite quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant includes a double long-chain quaternary ammonium salt, two single long-chain quaternary ammonium salts, a synergist isothiazolinone, a nonionic surfactant fatty alcohol polyvinyl ether, and water, wherein the double long-chain quaternary ammonium salt is dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chloride with dialkyl being two independent alkyl groups with a chain length of C8-C18, and the two single-chain quaternary ammonium salts are alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride with an alkyl chain length of C8-C18 and alkyl dimethyl ethyl benzyl ammonium chloride with an alkyl chain length of C8-C18, respectively. The composite quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant has a synergistic effect among its components, which greatly improves the capacity of resisting interferences by hard water and organics; and can kill not only bacterial propagules, lipophilic viruses (enveloped viruses, such as novel coronavirus) and fungi, but also hydrophilic viruses (non-enveloped viruses).

摘要： A synergistic disinfectant composition comprises a C1-8 organic acid, an amino acid based surfactant, an anionic surfactant, and a stabilizing agent. The C1-8 organic acid may include two or more types of the C1-8 organic acids with at least one of the C1-8 organic acids is alpha hydroxyl acid. The disinfectant composition has an antimicrobial activity of log reduction of at least 2 under Biocidal Product Registration (BPR) standard EN13727, EN1276, EN13624 or EN1499, and/or the EPA standard that applies the “Quantitative Methods for Evaluating the Activity of Microbicides used on Hard, Non-Porous Surface” issued by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In addition, the disinfectant composition may be stable during storage and retain their antimicrobial activity after at least one month at 40° C. When desired, the synergistic disinfectant composition may further comprise an oxidizing agent.

摘要： A multi-use disinfecting cap and method for disinfection and protection of a needleless IV injection port. The disinfecting cap has an upper chamber which contains a sterilizing solution and a low chamber which connects to a needleless IV injection port. The fluid can be manipulated to flow between the two chambers. When in use the cap protects and disinfects a needleless IV injection port when exposed prior to injecting medication into the needleless port and continues to disinfect and protect prior for any subsequent exposures. The cap is re-usable and provides a clear indication of the disinfecting solution and a datable top surface. The multi-use disinfecting cap may be removably clipped to the IV tubing and is shaped to prevent accidental rolling away if dropped.
