摘要： A pressure safety device is used with a bag valve mask (BVM) for preventing over-pressurization. The BVM includes a bag assembly having a bag connector for detachably mating to a mask connector on a patient mask. The pressure safety device has a housing with a bag port, a mask fitting, and a flow path from the bag port to the mask fitting. The bag port detachably connects to the bag connector on the BVM, and the mask fitting detachably connects to the mask connector on the BVM. The pressure safety device includes an automatic flow reduction valve located on the flow path in the housing and impedes flow when pressure on a bag connector side of the valve exceeds a maximum threshold value.

摘要： A personal protective device (PPE) including a face cover assembly and a bodysuit configured to be worn by a human user. The device protects users against airborne aerosol particles containing viruses or other infectious agents while enabling improved flexibility relative to prior art designs. The device includes a helmet-like” rotating face cover assembly that fits over the user's head and attaches to a collar on the biohazard bodysuit. This rotating face cover assembly has a plurality of different mask sides, each with differing geometries or other properties. The device enables a user to rotate (either manually or by electric motor) the masks and select a given mask side that best meets that user's needs. The different mask sides can accommodate different facial geometries, eyewear types, and use cases, such as operation in more hostile environments. Features to improve user comfort, including alternate bodysuit designs, moisture reduction, and cooling are disclosed.

摘要： Various reusable respirator designs are shown. In one example, a reusable respirator includes an inhalation pathway with a conduit extending from the exterior of the respirator into the nose piece allowing users to receive air directly into an inner sealed zone around a user's nose and mouth. The inhalation pathway includes a vent opening such that the inhalation pathway also directs air into a facemask zone, between the nose piece and an outer seal reducing/preventing shield fogging during inhalation. In another example, the respirator includes cartridge attachment lobes each having a different size and shape. A filter cartridge assembly can only be aligned with the lobes in one orientation, creating a robust connection. In another example, a storage bin for a reusable respirator includes a one-way film placed underneath a plurality of perforations allowing gases and moisture to escape the bin while limiting the ingress of other gases or particles.

The air supply and filter may be attached to the dog's back using a harness. 摘要： A powered air purifying respirator includes an inlet air filter; a flow generator configured to cause air from an ambient environment to flow through the inlet air filter and elevate pressure of the air to above ambient conditions; a mask in fluid communication with the flow generator and configured to fit tightly against a user's face or neck for delivery of the air to the user at the elevated pressure; and a one-way outlet valve configured to allow air exhaled by the user to be vented to the ambient environment. An outlet filter may be included to filter the air flowing through the one-way valve, and the outlet filter may be retrofit. The outlet filter may be preferred when filtration of both inlet and outlet air is desirable.

摘要： A personal protected-air system includes first and second rings, and a sleeve coupled on each end thereof to one of the rings. The first ring includes a port for receiving filtered air under pressure, a manifold in fluid communication with the port, and vents in fluid communication with the manifold and the interior region of the sleeve. The sleeve includes a transparent region. In use, the second ring fits over a user's head, the sleeve encases the user's head, and the first ring rests on a top portion of the user's head. The second ring includes an air passage providing fluid communication between an ambient environment and the interior region of the sleeve.
