摘要： A separation apparatus for separating constituents from effluent. The separation apparatus includes a gas diffuser, a hopper, and a tank. The gas diffuser includes an inlet inner tube for receiving effluent from a well. The hopper is disposed at least partially below the gas diffuser, and the tank is connected to the hopper. The gas diffuser is configured so that gas in the effluent is released from the effluent and into the atmosphere before the effluent enters the hopper. The hopper is configured so that liquid effluent in the hopper spills over a top portion of the hopper and into the tank.

摘要： A process of dewatering oil sands/coal tailings includes generating nanobubble water, mixing a chemical dispersant into the nanobubble water to form a nanobubble-dispersant mixture, adding tailings to the nanobubble-dispersant mixture to form a nanobubble-dispersant-tailings mixture, and agitating the nanobubble-dispersant-tailings mixture to form an agitated nanobubble-dispersant-tailings mixture having a solid portion and a liquid portion. The solid portion is thereafter separated from the liquid portion. The agitation may be a centrifugal motion or shaking motion to agitate the nanobubble-dispersant-tailings mixture The chemical dispersant may be sodium hydroxide dispersant for asphaltenes and the volume of the tailings added may be substantially equal to the volume of the nanobubble water generated. An oil layer may further be skimmed off the liquid portion a polymer clarifier may also be added to the liquid portion. The process may be applied to achieve accelerated tailings processing for rapid and economic environmental remediation.

The chemical de-polymerization liquid is used to chemically de-polymerize the recycled polyester fabric in an environment where a de-polymerization catalyst exists, and the de-polymerization catalyst is the ionic liquid catalyst in a solid state.

摘要： A forward secant swirl tube may be used to separate heavier particles such as oil and moisture from an air flow. The swirl tube includes a central hub having a centerline and a circular perimeter. An outer circular housing extends from an inlet edge to an outlet edge. A plurality of vanes extends from the central hub to the outer housing. The vanes are equally spaced around the central hub. Each vane has an inlet transition portion connected to a discharge portion. The top edge of the inlet transition portion of each vane is offset from the centerline of the central hub forming a forward secant line with respect to the centerline of the central hub and a direction of spin induced by the plurality of vanes.

摘要： An apparatus for treating a multiphase hydrocarbon-containing fluid in an oil and/or gas production facility, the apparatus comprising: (a) an inlet for a multiphase hydrocarbon-containing fluid, wherein the inlet comprises a first pipe network configured to be connectable to a plurality of oil well heads in an oil field; (b) a separation system comprising: (i) a solids separator in fluid communication with the inlet; (ii) a solids outlet connected to the solids separator; (iii) a fluid separator in fluid communication with the solids separator, the fluid separator being configured to separate the remaining multiphase hydrocarbon-containing fluid into an oil phase, a water phase and a gas phase; (iv) an oil outlet connected to the fluid separator; (v) a gas outlet connected to the fluid separator; and (vi) a water outlet connected to the fluid separator; (c) a solids cleaning system connected to the solids outlet, wherein the solids cleaning system is configured to clean deposits of residual oil from the solid particles separated by the solids separator to provide cleaned solid particles and first residual oil, the solids cleaning system having a first output for outputting the cleaned solid particles and a second output configured to output the first residual oil; and (d) a water cleaning and recycling system connected to the water outlet, wherein the water cleaning and recycling system is configured to clean residual oil from the water phase separated by the fluid separator, the water cleaning and recycling system comprising an oil filter for separating the residual oil from the water phase to provide cleaned water and second residual oil, the oil filter having a third output for recycling the cleaned water to at least one well head of the oil field, wherein the third output comprises a second pipe network configured to be connectable to the at least one well head of the oil field, and a fourth output configured to output the second residual oil. Also disclosed is a corresponding method.

摘要： An entirely water-based, energy self-sufficient, integrated in-line waste management system is provided for comprehensive conversion of all organic fractions of municipal and wider community waste to fuels suitable for use in transportation, with all solid residues converted to high nutrition compost. The system is based on a combination of pre-treatment, involving alkaline hydrolysis and saponification; three-way separation of the pre-treated waste into different streams that are each directed to suitable further processing including fuel production; which includes biodiesel generation in a continuous-flow catalytic esterification unit, and anaerobic digestion to produce methane or other small molecule biofuel. Remaining solids are converted to compost in a quasi-continuous process.

摘要： A multi-path cleaning system is provided for a fuel tank. The multi-path cleaning system includes a controller, a fuel polisher, and a plurality of controllable valves. The plurality of controllable valves are operatively connected to the controller, and each valve fluidly coupled to at least one of the inlet and outlet of the fuel polisher on a first side and the interior of the fuel tank on a second other side. The pump, when operated, causes fuel to be drawn through the inlet and discharged at the outlet of the fuel polisher, and to pass through at least one filter/water separator. Selective operation of the plurality of valves by the controller selectively fluidly couples portions of the interior of the fuel tank to the inlet and the outlet of the fuel polisher, thereby creating a plurality of fluid flow paths through the interior of the fuel tank.
