摘要： A flow plate for a humidifier, having flow fields on both mutually opposite flat sides of the flow plate is described. The flow plate proposed here has a multiplicity of through-openings, wherein the through-openings are designed such that a perpendicular projection of the through openings onto a plane oriented parallel to the plane of the flat surface of the flow plate has a non-vanishing area, so that gas passing through the through-openings effects, at least in part, mixing of a gas guided in the flow fields perpendicular to the plane of the flat surface of the flow plate. The through-openings improve the power of the humidifier, thus permitting a lower number of flow plates and therefore a more lightweight and more compact design.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a forward osmosis module for concentration and/or crystallization salts from an aqueous feed solution, the feed solution including seeds that surround an open semi-permeable membrane having free membrane portions forming an enclosure with a distribution pipe that introduces draw solution inside said enclosure. The feed solution penetrates into the enclosure as permeate from the feed side of the membrane to the draw solution side according to a Forward Osmosis process based on net driving pressure. The draw solution with permeate is evacuated from the enclosure via an outlet. A generator applies, at least periodically, a plurality of directional gauge pressure strokes PGs, directed from at least one of the draw solution inlet and outlet thereby effecting mechanical shaking of the free membrane portions for detachment of foulant.

摘要： A preparation method and use of a modified hydroxyethyl cellulose scale inhibitor for inhibiting silica scale are provided. The scale inhibitor is prepared by grafting reaction with hydroxyethyl cellulose as a raw material, ammonium persulfate as an initiator and N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) methyl acrylamide as a graft monomer. The grafting reaction can introduce grafting chains containing amide group and tertiary amine group into a cellulose molecular chain, so that it can effectively disperse scale forming substances and obtain the efficient environment-friendly scale inhibitor. The scale inhibitor can effectively inhibit the generation of silica scale and prevent the increase of scale particle size, the scale inhibitor is used in a reverse osmosis system, which can effectively alleviate the decline of the membrane flux. The scale inhibitor has a good application prospect in controlling the silica scale on the surface of the reverse osmosis membrane.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to a vacuum filter that incorporates a large area pleated filter element having pleated hydrophilic membrane configured along slanting surface in pyramid shape and incorporated with in a filter housing that can be accommodated in neck of a filtrate container. The disclosed configuration reduces overall height of the filtering system improving its stability and reducing space requirement. Further, top portion of the filter housing is configured to receive either a feed cup for direct feeding of feed liquid by pouring in the cup or a fitting with tube that can be used to suck the feed from a feed solution container under action of a vacuum thus allowing universal use. In another embodiment, a single hydrophobic membrane is provided to avoid problems of low flow due to bubbles coming with the feed solution and also to allow restart of filtration without air lock.

The method comprises contacting a feed stream comprising the acid or base and the metal with an ultrafiltration membrane to produce an ultrafiltration retentate and an ultrafiltration permeate, and contacting the ultrafiltration permeate with a nanofiltration membrane. The nanofiltration retentate produced comprises a majority of the metal from the feed stream, and the nanofiltration permeate produced comprises a majority of the acid or base from the feed stream. Also disclosed herein is a recovery apparatus for recovering an acid or a base during a metal extraction process.
