摘要： A writing instrument compressing device includes a base having an underside mounted to multiple raiser pieces to have the base separate from a carrying surface by a distance in a vertical direction. The base includes an elongate hole that is delimited by two opposite sidewalls each including tooth ridges and the tooth troughs alternately arranged. A handle rod is pivoted to an end of the base to drive reciprocal movement of a pusher. A retainer is reciprocally movable along the elongate hole of the base and functions to clamp and fix a writing instrument body or a tool. The retainer is provided, on a bottom thereof, with a screw rod extending through the elongate hole of the base. A tightening assembly includes a nut and a rotation bar horizontally penetrating through the nut and having two ends selectively moved close to the nut.

The press includes a frame (10) presenting a lower platen (12), and an upper platen (58) supported on an arm (50) for movement toward and away from the lower platen. The upper platen (58) presents a mounting bracket (78) by which it is connected to the support arm, and a pressure adjustment assembly (54) is supported between the upper platen and the support arm for adjusting the position of the upper platen. The pressure adjustment assembly (54) includes a pin (80) supported in apertures of the support arm (50) and the upper platen (58) and a lever (88) protruding generally radially from the pin for permitting the rotational position of the pin to be adjusted. The pin (80) is eccentric, including at least one first region defining a first longitudinal axis and at least one second region defining a second longitudinal axis that is parallel to and offset from the first longitudinal axis. The different regions of the pin (80) are supported in different ones of the apertures such that rotation of the pin in the apertures adjusts the position of the upper platen (58) relative to the support arm (50).

摘要： A tissue press for shaping or compressing a piece of tissue comprises first and second members movable relative to each other. A first forming element of a predetermined shape is selectively engageable on the first member. A second forming element of predetermined shape is selectively engageable on the second member. The first and second forming elements are positionable on opposite sides of the piece of tissue. The first and second members are relatively movable between a first spaced apart condition and a second condition in which the piece of tissue is held between the first and second forming elements. Means are preferably provided for monitoring and controlling the amount of pressure applied to the piece of tissue, in order to maintain the tissue in a viable living condition. Means may also be provided for draining off fluid from compressed tissue, so that the tissue can be implanted in a compressed state and imbibe fluid from the host site. A retainer, which may be expandable, can be used to maintain the tissue graft in a compressed condition.

The brick press has a brick pressing chamber (12) which can be charged with the loose material. 摘要： A hand-operated thermal press for installing metal inserts in a workpiece of a thermoplastics material comprises a frame (12) including an upright post (16) on which is slidably mounted a support bracket (24) carrying an insert driver (18). Movement of the bracket (24) along the post (16) is limited by adjustable clamps (20, 22) and the bracket (24) is biassed into a starting position by a coil spring (28). A hand-operable mechanism (34) is provided for moving the insert driver (18) along the post (16). The insert driver (18) incorporates a heating unit movable relatively to the insert driver (18) against a biassing spring (100). The heating unit includes a core (70) heated by the unit and which supports a bit (92) adapted to receive the metal insert to be installed. The clamps (20, 22) are adjusted to provide a required movement of the insert driver and the spring bias (100) ensures a consistent driving force for installing the insert.
