摘要： A plastic bag has a safety even when a flap is not adhered on an outer surface of a side gusset. One of the opposite end portions of the side gusset is obliquely folded in half along a fold line and interposed between the two layers of the side gusset, so that the flap is formed by the end portion between the two layers of the side gusset. The flap includes a folded edge formed by a folded inner edge of the side gusset, and an open edge formed by one of the opposite end edges of the side gusset. The flap further includes a joining edge extending straight or curved and joining the folded edge and the open edge on opposite sides of the fold line.

In addition, the present invention also comprises a machine (200) which allows using such method and a package that can be made by means of such method and such machine.

The versatile storage bag may have first and second sidewalls, a double-locking closure mechanism with a first closure element extending along the first sidewall and a second closure element extending along the second sidewall, each closure element having a channel and an elongated member configured for interlocking with one another. A double-seal along three sides of the first sidewall and the second sidewall form a gusset between two seals, leaving an opening through the double-locking closure mechanism. Corner seals may be formed at the corners of the first and second sidewalls, further reinforcing the double-locking closure mechanism for an airtight and hence waterproof seal. The versatile storage bag may be made of a food-grade polyethylene vinyl acetate blend, approximately 90% or less ethylene vinyl acetate and approximately 10% or less polyethylene.

摘要： A cushioned envelope is formed from a laminated material that includes a cushioning web and a shell web. The outer side of the cushioning web is laminated to the inner side of the shell web. A crimping adhesive is applied to first and second transverse seams of the inner side of the cushioning web. The laminated web material is crimped so that each of the first and second transverse seams on the inner side of the cushioning web is folded in on itself. The folded laminated web material is crimped at the first transverse seam and at the second transverse seam. The crimped laminated web material is cut at a location in the first transverse seam and at a location in the second transverse seam.
