摘要： The present disclosure relates to a shaft adapted to be at least partially inserted into an opening of a shaft receiver. The shaft comprises a nominal shaft portion adapted to be at least partially inserted into the opening of the shaft receiver, followed by an intermediate shaft portion that in turn is followed by a guide shaft portion terminating the shaft. The shaft comprises a cross-section with a cross-sectional contour in a plane including the central axis, the cross-sectional contour comprising a nominal shaft portion contour of the nominal shaft portion, an intermediate shaft portion contour of the intermediate shaft portion and a guide shaft portion contour of the guide shaft portion. The cross-sectional contour comprises a radial direction being perpendicular to the central axis, wherein, as seen in the radial direction, the nominal shaft portion contour is located at a nominal radial distance from the central axis.

摘要： A steering device includes a steering power unit, a transmission unit, an upper control arm, a steering element, an eccentric bolt and a steering knuckle. The steering power unit has at least one torque-output end. The transmission unit is connected with the torque-output end. The steering element is connected with the transmission unit. The eccentric bolt, installed at the upper control arm, is connected with the steering power unit. The steering knuckle, mounted to a wheel disc, is connected with the steering element and the upper control arm, and used for controlling the wheel disc. The steering power unit drives the steering element to push or pull the steering knuckle for controlling a turning angle, and simultaneously drives the eccentric bolt to have the upper control arm to push or pull the steering knuckle for varying a camber angle of the wheel disc. In addition, a steering method is provided.

摘要： A method for a steer axle knuckle of a vehicle is provided. The method comprises welding a steer arm and a tie rod arm to a knuckle body by linear friction welding. The method further includes, in one example, pairing a plurality of first contact surfaces of the knuckle body and a plurality of steer arm contact surfaces of the steer arm prior to the welding; pairing a plurality of second contact surfaces of the knuckle body and a plurality of tie rod arm contact surfaces of the tie rod arm prior to the welding. Each of the plurality of first contact surfaces, second contact surfaces, steer arm contact surfaces, tie rod arm contact surfaces is machined prior to the welding.

The pair of wheel hubs are coupled to opposing ends of the solid axle. The pair of wheel hubs are configured to facilitate coupling wheels to the front axle assembly. The steering gear mechanism is positioned between the first vertical plane and the second vertical plane. The linkage assembly couples the steering gear mechanism to the pair of wheel hubs.

摘要： A tie rod boot includes a minimally thick accordion shaped bellows section. One terminal end of the boot is secured to a steering mechanism and the other is secured to a tie rod. Protuberances are provided and are strategically located on the bellows walls for resisting impacts from rocks and other debris and minimizing holes through the tie rod. When the bellows is retracted and pairs of opposing bellows walls collapse towards each other, the protuberances of adjacent opposing walls nest with each other and contact the opposing wall. The protuberances can be step shaped rings or a ring of discrete protuberances which are step shaped or both. The step shaped protuberances are defined by a riser surface extending along a plane which is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the boot and a tread annular surface which is substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis.

摘要： In a power steering system employing an end of travel system including valve actuating rings disposed about a Pitman arm shaft, a device is provided for setting the positions of the rings on the shaft. The device includes a fixed member positioned about, and fixed against movement along, a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the shaft's rotational axis and a movable member that moves along the longitudinal axis relative to the fixed member. The movable member defines a pin at one end configured for engagement with the circumferential ends of the actuating rings. A positioning force applied to one of the members causes the movable member to move between set and reset positions in which the pin engages corresponding ends of the actuating rings during rotation of the shaft and a running position in which the pin remains disengaged from the ends of the actuating ring during rotation of the shaft.

摘要： A vehicle steering assembly that includes a housing, a pinion shaft, a seal, a protector and a dust cover. The housing defines a bore with the pinion shaft extending therethrough. The seal is disposed within the bore spaced apart from the end of the housing. The seal extends around the pinion shaft creating a seal therebetween. The housing and the pinion shaft define an annular space therebetween and between an opening at one end of the housing and the seal. The protector is fitted to the housing covering a portion of the opening and the annular space. The protector has a shaft receiving opening with the pinion shaft extending therethrough and out of the housing. The dust cover is attached to the housing completely covering the protector and the opening of the bore.
