摘要： A system and method are provided for palletless shipment of gas cylinder arrays. A three-dimensional array of gas cylinders is formed from a plurality of vertically-stacked two-dimensional subarrays. First elongated voids extend through the array in a width direction at a first handle elevation. Second elongated voids extend through the array in a depth direction at a second handle elevation. The first and second elongated voids are bilaterally bounded by handle portions of adjacent gas cylinders, and vertically bounded by upper and lower surfaces of surrounding cylinders. Pairs of tunnel elements are disposed within respective elongated voids and are each configured to releasably receive a corresponding forklift tong. Vertically-disposed pillars may be provided to increase the rigidity and load distribution of the system. Flaps may radiate from the pillars to minimize impact and abrasion between adjacent cylinders during shipment. Key system components may be inexpensively formed from recyclable, lightweight materials.

摘要： A glass roving package 200 is provided which has a simple configuration which can prevent shifting and collapse of the glass roving package 200 during transportation of the package, and for which it is easier to package glass rovings 100 and unpack, and the cost of the glass roving package 200 can be reduced. The glass roving package 200 includes groups of glass rovings 100 stacked on top of each other on a base board 20, the glass rovings 100 in each group being arranged, and a wrapping material wrapped around an outer circumferential portion of the groups of glass rovings 100. A displacement prevention sheet 10 is interposed between a lower group of glass rovings 100 and an upper group of glass rovings 100 in order to prevent the upper group of glass rovings 100 from being displaced during transportation of the package.

Each of the legs have an outer surface having a first strap engaging position spaced from the vertex and a second strap engaging position at the vertex. The height of the first strap engaging position measure from an intermediate portion of the second surface between the first and second positions is greater than the height of the second strap engaging position. With this arrangement, the biasing force applied by a banding strap to the corner restraint reduces the biasing force applied to the vertex to reduce damage to corners of the flat glass sheets.

摘要： A palletized bundle of stacked elongate cable trays includes a pair of endcaps placed over each longitudinal end of the stack of cable trays. The endcaps are each cinched by a shipping strap to pallet spacer skids provided under each endcap. Each pallet spacer skid accommodates the lifting tines of a forklift. The pallet spacer skids also provide sufficient ground clearance to allow the palletized cable trays to be transversely engaged by the lifting tines of a forklift. The palletizing package may also include protective liners placed between the shipping strap and the stack of cable trays to further protect the cable trays from damage by the cinched shipping strap.

摘要： A corner post/edge protector structure comprises an apex portion, a pair of leg members disposed substantially perpendicular with respect to each other, and concave/convex transitional regions integrally interconnecting the leg members to opposite ends of the apex portion. The concave/convex transitional regions define axially extending strengthening ribs for enhancing the axial or columnar compressive strength characteristics of the structure when the same is used in conjunction with stacks or tiers of packages, containers, or palletized loads. In addition, the transitional regions permit outer and inner surface portions of the leg members to be coplanar with outer and inner surface portions of the apex portion so as to facilitate or enable compact storage of the containers, packages, or palletized loads within cargo holds and storage facilities. Still further, the transitional regions enable the leg members to undergo resilient flexural movements under impressed packaging strapping loads or forces and facilitate favorable distribution of the strapping loads or forces.

A plurality of protuberances extend outwardly from the outside surface of the lip wall and a plurality of openings are disposed along the length of the lip wall. The first and second platform sections are positionable alongside one another so that the protuberances provided along the outside surface of the lip wall of one platform section are nestingly accepted by the openings provided along the outside surface of the lip wall of the other platform section for limiting the movement of one platform section relative to the other platform section.

摘要： A corner element for use in forming a package of glass sheets comprises two corner pieces, each of which includes a first and a second planar arm, said first and second planar arms forming a right angle. The first and second arms are each formed with a planar projection extending at right angles from each arm, each planar projection being attached on the first and second arms in a position different with respect to each other so that when the two pieces are interfit with each other, the planar projections of one corner piece and the planar projections of the other piece form a protective enclosure around each one the corners of the sheet glass package. A post extending horizontally outwardly from one of the planar projections of each corner element is used to lift the glass sheet package to be transported.
