摘要： The present invention describes a process for obtaining a biolubricant from vegetable oil, which comprises the steps of (a) esterification reaction of the product of vegetable oil hydrolysis using a branched aliphatic alcohol; (b) epoxidation reaction of the esters obtained in step (a); and (c) nucleophilic substitution reaction of the epoxidated esters obtained in step (b) using a branched aliphatic alcohol. The present invention also describes a biolubricant obtained from the process. More specifically, a biolubricant is described that is produced from a ricinoleic fatty acid, whose formula is illustrated in FIG. 1 of the present invention, and where R1 is a hydroxyl or it is from the formula R3COO−, with R3 being an alkyl radical C1-C3, preferably a methyl radical; and R2 consists of a straight chain of hydrocarbons C4-C8 and a branched chain of hydrocarbons C1-C3.

摘要： Provided is a continuous process for converting waste plastic into recycle for polyethylene polymerization. In one embodiment, the process comprises selecting waste plastics containing polyethylene and/or polypropylene and passing the waste plastics through a pyrolysis reactor to thermally crack at least a portion of the polyolefin waste and produce a pyrolyzed effluent. The pyrolyzed effluent is separated into offgas, a naphtha/diesel fraction, a heavy fraction, and char. The naphtha/diesel fraction is passed to a crude unit distillation column in a refinery where a straight run naphtha (C5-C8) fraction or a propane/butane (C3-C4) fraction is recovered. The straight run naphtha fraction (C5-C8) or the propane/butane (C3-C4) fraction is passed to a steam cracker for ethylene production. The heavy fraction from the pyrolysis unit can also be passed to an isomerization dewaxing unit to produce a base oil.

摘要： A method of producing an additive supplement that when combined with a motor oil licensable with the American Petroleum Institute and the International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee creates a second motor oil that meets the standards of the American Petroleum Institute and the International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee by first selecting a desired motor oil and a standard motor oil, wherein the desired motor oil comprises a desired base oil component and a desired additive component and the standard motor oil contains a standard base oil component and a standard additive component. A differentiating additive component is produced by determining the additive component differences between the desired additive component and the standard additive component. This differentiating additive component is determined by using equal amounts of the standard motor oil and the desired motor oil. An optional step can then be performed of adding additional additives to the differentiating additive component to produce a preferred additive component. Sufficient base oil is then incorporated to the preferred additive component to produce an additive supplement.

摘要： A continuous process for producing a polyurea concentrate or powder. The process includes combing at least one amine and an isocyanate in the presence of a liquid diluent or a base oil in a rotor stator mixer. The concentrate comprises a polyurea in a base oil wherein the concentration of from about 20 weight percent to about 50, or 40 or 35 or 30 weight percent of polyurea based on total weight of grease thickener. The powder has particle size of 2 to 400 microns. This concentrate or powder can then be formulated by grease manufacturers to the desired final properties without the need for handling of the isocyanate and amine raw materials.

摘要： An engine oil additive includes carbon nanotubes and boron nitride particulates dispersed within a fluid. The additive is configured to be mixed with a quantity of oil such that the quantity of oil has a concentration from 0.05 to 0.5 grams of carbon nanotubes and of boron nitride particulates per quart of oil to improve the lubricity of the oil. The additive improves the horsepower and torque of the engine while reducing fuel consumption. The carbon nanotubes have an —OH functionalized exterior surface. The carbon nanotubes have a diameter from 1 nanometer to 50 nanometers and have a length from 1 micron to 1000 microns. The boron nitride particulates are hex-boron nitride structures having an average size from 30 nanometers to 500 nanometers.
