    • The invention relates to a multi-device false-twisting machine, which is specially designed for the in-line preparation of threads (by means of false-twisting), immediately before said threads enter the needle(s) of any type of weaving loom, knitting machine, etc. for technical and textile yarns. Moreover, the inventive machine is specially designed to house multiple false-twisting devices, such that each device forces the thread(s) passing there through to be provisionally twisted, by means of false twisting, a determined number of turns/metre along the path thereof towards the needle of the weaving loom, knitting machine, etc. The invention is mainly characterised in that, by forming the false twist in the aforementioned manner, the regularity of the yam is increased, thereby preventing many later potential problems in the final receiver (weaving loom, knitting machine, etc.). The invention is further characterised in that the machine does not produce loops which could cause the thread(s) and the needle(s) to break and reduce the quality of the end product.

    • A fleece funnel is provided for use in textile drafting equipment to receive a fiber fleece conveyed by a pair of delivery rollers. The fleece funnel includes a long side disposed adjacent to the delivery rollers. A funnel area is defined in the long side for receiving the fiber fleece. The funnel area defines a planar guiding surface in a planar substantially concave impact surface. A funnel opening is defined in the impact surface and a funnel channel is in communication with the funnel opening. A ramp surface is defined on the long side outside of the funnel area. The ramp surface meets the impact surface and defines a common contour line with the impact surface so that air forced out of the fiber fleece balloon formed as the fiber fleece is conveyed into the funnel opening is drawn away from the funnel area towards the ramp surface unimpeded by planar components of the fleece funnel.

    • A fiber sliver guidance system is provided for textile machine drafting equipment wherein a fiber sliver is drafted by pairs of drafting rollers and conveyed by a pair of delivery rollers to a calendar device. The guidance system is disposed between the delivery rollers and the calendar device and includes a plurality of nozzle inserts which define a fiber sliver channel between the delivery rollers and the calendar device. The fiber sliver channel has an axis defined by two axial segments which can be angled relative to each other. At least one of the nozzle inserts can be articulated relative to the other nozzle inserts about a swivel axis. The articulatable nozzle swivels automatically from an operating position to a closed position upon a back-up of fiber fleece in the fiber sliver channel.
