摘要： A portable, self-illuminating traffic sign having a sign face with two opposite sides. One side indicates a first traffic signal, and the other side indicates a second traffic signal. Light assemblies are attached to each side of the sign. The light assemblies emit light that may match the predominant color of one of the sides of the sign. A battery may be disposed in a pole that connects to the sign. A handlegrip allows for the sign to be held and provides a switch to allow for the lights to be selectively turned on and off. The light assemblies are disposed within collar assemblies so as to reduce, or prevent, light emitted from the light assemblies reflecting off of the sign faces.

摘要： A parking enforcement device can be secured to a surface adjacent to the area designated as NO PARKING. The enforcement device can include a camera aimed towards the area designated as NO PARKING and monitor this area for the entry of a vehicle. A parking violation is determined to have occurred upon determining that the vehicle has entered the area designated as NO PARKING, and image data of the entry of a vehicle into the NO PARKING area that was captured by the camera can be relayed to a remote computing system. The parking enforcement device can be provided as a bollard that includes a camera secured to a center pole extending vertically upwards inside of the bollard. The camera can be located along the center pole so that the camera views outward from the bollard via a window section of the bollard.

摘要： A stationary board adapted to be set up in a medial strip between traffic lanes to block lights of oncoming vehicles in the medial strip and facilitate identification of the medial strip in nighttime driving or riding. This stationary board comprises a pair of plate members each composed of a molded component made of a transparent plastic material, and the plate members are coupled with one another at the respective marginal edges thereof to form an integrated assembly having a hollow space therein. Each of the plate members is formed with irregularities in its inner surface facing the hollow space of the assembly. A top member molded of a plastic material is attached to the top portion of the assembly in a fitting manner. The plastic material of the top member contains a luminous pigment capable of absorbing, storing and emitting light. The stationary board of the present invention can bring out a function of facilitating identification of the medial strip in nighttime driving or riding as well as blocking lights of oncoming vehicles, while offering excellent aesthetic appearance.

摘要： A liquid crystal lens assembly that can be used to replace existing color lenses in traffic signals without the need for any special modifications to the traffic signal. The lens assembly utilizes a dichroic liquid crystal mixture that absorbs light when no electric field is applied to the mixture. When an electric field is applied across the liquid crystal mixture by two electrodes, the molecules change their orientation within the mixture and absorb less light, and the signal appears "on". The illumination of the bulb behind the lens assembly is visible to the user. The electric field is energized at the same time that the bulb for the traffic signal is illuminated. A colored transflector positioned in the rearward portion of the lens assembly provides the color for the signal and also acts to reflect light from the front of the lens assembly. Wires for applying the electric field to the electrodes connect directly to the terminal block for the traffic signal. A heater may be used to maintain the liquid crystal mixture at a minimum threshold temperature.
