    • Provided is a drain trap that allows easy maintenance, yet has high durability with ability to prevent condensation. The drain trap includes a bottomed cylindrical main body portion 5 having a lateral wall 51 on which a receiving pipe portion 2 for receiving liquid and a discharge pipe portion 3 for discharging the liquid are formed, an attachable/detachable partitioning body 1 for partitioning an inside space 4 of the main body portion 5 into a reservoir space 7 and a discharge space 8, a lid portion 6 for closing the inside space 4 of the main body portion 5 and a sealing case 9 surrounding, under a sealed state, at least a portion of an outer surface of the main body portion 5 in which the reservoir space 7 is formed. An air gap 91 is formed between the sealing case 9 and the main body portion 5. The sealing case 9 and the main body portion 5 are formed transparent. The lid portion 6 is attachable/detachable when the sealing case 9 is attached to the main body portion 5.

    • The invention provides a connector having: a. a chamber having an open upper chamber and a lower chamber, b. an inlet connector and c. an outlet connector formed in a floor of the lower chamber. The inlet connector is supported above the open upper chamber by one or more arms. The upper chamber has an upper chamber floor having an upper chamber outlet, the upper chamber being in fluid communication with the lower chamber by means of the upper chamber outlet. The upper chamber outlet has a non-return valve which is arranged to open at a pre-selected pressure and the lower chamber forms a flow conduit for receiving the valve when it is open. In some embodiments a shielded connector is provided in which a shield is shaped to cover the open upper chamber of the connector. A valve assembly may be provided for use in the connector or shielded connector wherein the valve assembly has a stem, a biasing member for biasing the valve assembly into a closed position, a valve disc for sealing the outlet. An upper washer and a lower washer are disclosed for support of the valve disc such that the valve disc does not distort in use.

    • An improved floor drain valve for buildings, basements, exterior paved areas, and the like. The invention provides floor drain assemblies and check valves providing improved drainage performance, particularly where drainage is an irregular occurrence, and having unprecedented simplicity and reliability. Floor drains according to the invention comprise check valves having elastomeric hinge structures mounting relatively rigid flapper structures biased upwardly against sealing surfaces adapted for disposition within floor drains. Water entering the valve structure opens the flapper valves by gravitational forces downwardly against the relatively rigid flapper, and after passage of the water, the valve is elastomerically urged into the sealed position restricting back flow of gases from the downstream area of the drain conduit and permitting pressure testing of the downstream conduit.
