The lid portion 6 is attachable/detachable when the sealing case 9 is attached to the main body portion 5.

摘要： A valve device for a domestic wastewater pipe is provided. The valve device includes a shutter and a fixing element to hold the shutter in the passage of the main duct between the inlet opening and the outlet opening of the pipe. The shutter is movable between a first configuration occluding the passage to prevent the flow of gaseous fluids, and a second configuration allowing the wastewater to flow from the inlet opening to the outlet opening of the pipe. The valve device includes a deformable main body partly defining the shutter, which occludes the passage of the main duct when the shutter is in the first configuration so that a pressure exerted by the wastewater on the shutter causes a reversible elastic deformation of said main body that moves the shutter from the first to the second configuration.

In some embodiments a shielded connector is provided in which a shield is shaped to cover the open upper chamber of the connector. A valve assembly may be provided for use in the connector or shielded connector wherein the valve assembly has a stem, a biasing member for biasing the valve assembly into a closed position, a valve disc for sealing the outlet. An upper washer and a lower washer are disclosed for support of the valve disc such that the valve disc does not distort in use.

The invention provides floor drain assemblies and check valves providing improved drainage performance, particularly where drainage is an irregular occurrence, and having unprecedented simplicity and reliability. Floor drains according to the invention comprise check valves having elastomeric hinge structures mounting relatively rigid flapper structures biased upwardly against sealing surfaces adapted for disposition within floor drains. Water entering the valve structure opens the flapper valves by gravitational forces downwardly against the relatively rigid flapper, and after passage of the water, the valve is elastomerically urged into the sealed position restricting back flow of gases from the downstream area of the drain conduit and permitting pressure testing of the downstream conduit.

摘要： A device and method for preventing the backflow of undesirable gases from being drawn up through a drain line into a room. The device is particularly useful in applications where liquid flow into the drain is infrequent, resulting in little or no liquid left standing in the P-trap to serve as a gas barrier. When installed the device prevents the unwanted backflow of sewer gases into the room above. However, if water or a similar liquid is introduced into the drain line, the device dissolves, thereby allowing the liquid to pass down the drain line.
