摘要： A magnetic window attachment assembly for attaching a muntin grid to a windowpane includes a first magnet or first ferromagnetic material attached to the windowpane at a first location and a second magnet or second ferromagnetic material attached to the muntin grid at a second location that aligns with the first location when the muntin grid is installed thereon. Magnetic attraction between the first magnet or the first ferromagnetic material and the second magnet or the second ferromagnetic material causes the muntin grid to be attracted to and removably engaged with the windowpane. The first magnet or first ferromagnetic material may have a convex surface, and the second magnet or second ferromagnetic material may have a concave surface that mates with the convex surface of the first magnet or first ferromagnetic material.

摘要： A window assembly includes a polymer (e.g., polyvinyl chloride, vinyl) window frame made and a glass unit carried by the window frame. The window frame includes a pair of jambs and an astragal that extends between and interconnects the pair of jambs. The jambs have a channel or slot sized to receive therethrough one or more end walls of the astragal so that at least a portion of said one or more end walls extend into a hollow cavity in the jambs that is in fluid communication with one or more weep holes of the window assembly. The one or more end walls of the astragal and channel or slot of the jambs define a flow path configured to channel water from the astragal, through the channel or slot in the jambs and into the hollow cavity such that said water exits the hollow cavity and the window assembly via the one or more weep holes.

The custom assembled structure consists of an outer frame and horizontal and vertical pickets that may be formed of flat stock, hollow square or rectangular steel tubing or solid square hardened steel bars. The system and method involves specifically spacing the vertical and horizontal pickets so as to lineup with an ornamental structure on the window or door (e.g., grids) without obstructing the view of the door or window so that the steel bars of the security structure is essentially invisible.

In addition, the rail is hidden so as not to be visible to the outside when a window/door is opened/closed.That is, the present invention is to provide a window/door system having a hidden rail structure, wherein the rail structure is detachably installed at a substructure positioned where a window/door frame is to be installed, thereby making it very easy to replace and to maintain/repair the rail. Since the window/door system having a hidden rail structure according to the present invention also hides the rail so as not to be visible to the outside when a window/door is opened/closed by a sliding motion and the top of the hidden rail structure is processed so as to be flat, it not only provides a neat appearance but also makes it easy to clean. Furthermore, it has a new structure of improving air tightness against any draft and/or noise by a multileveled shielding structure.
