    • A rotary engine includes: a frame; a flywheel rotor having an axle rotatably mounted on the frame; a plurality of erectable pistons respectively mounted in an annular trough concentrically recessed in a rim of the flywheel rotor; and a cylinder block fastened on a housing secured to the frame and cooperatively forming an engine cylinder with the annular trough of the flywheel rotor, whereby each erectable piston is operatively erected beyond a cylinder head of the engine cylinder to dynamically define an instant combustion chamber among the cylinder head, the cylinder block, the piston and the annular trough of the rotor; and whereby upon combustion and explosion in the combustion chamber, the explosion gases will force and drive the erectable piston to rotate the flywheel rotor for outputting mechanical energy.

    • A cylinder is installed within a case, and an output shaft and an arm that is integrated thereto and extends in a radial direction are installed within the cylinder. A piston extending in an arc slides and is displaced in a circumferential direction of the cylinder within the cylinder. One end portion of the piston is rotatably connected to the arm. The cylinder is internally provided with a first pressure chamber in which the arm is housed and a second pressure chamber in which the other end portion of the arm is slidably installed. A pressure medium is fed into one of the first and second pressure chambers and discharged from the other, and the output shaft pivots in a rotational direction.

    • A swashplate machine comprises a casing (1) provided with end members (2, 3) and a rotatable shaft (4). The shaft (4) drives a swashplate (5) through an interconnecting member (6) comprising an off-set sleeve (7) that is keyed to the shaft (4) and a non-rotating ball portion (8). The interconnecting member (6) is further supported by a pair of end cones (15). A baffle (9) fixed to the casing (1) intersects the swashplate (5) and an oscillatable pivotable slotted member is provided at the intersection. The arrangement of the swashplate machine being such that at least one of the end cones (15) is slidably mounted in the casing (1) on a guide (18) such that during operation of the swashplate machine limited axial movement of at least the one cone (15) is possible whilst rotational movement of the cone (15) is prevented by the guide (18).
