摘要： An anti-ballistic barrier system with a top shield support, a bottom shield support, and an anti-ballistic shield. A first extendable connector may extend between the anti-ballistic shield and the top shield support. Similarly, a second extendable connector may extend between the anti-ballistic shield and the bottom shield support. A polyester shield cover may extend over the anti-ballistic shield. A top mounting bracket attaches the top shield support to a vertical structure and a bottom mounting bracket attaches the bottom shield support to the vertical structure. The anti-ballistic shield is movable between a retracted position in which the anti-ballistic shield is wrapped around the top shield support and the bottom shield support is detached from the bottom mounting bracket and an extended position in which a majority of the anti-ballistic shield is unwrapped from the top shield support and the bottom shield support is engaged with the bottom mounting bracket.

摘要： A method of using an anti-ballistic protection system for protecting an interior space in a building. The ballistic barrier includes a laminated material having a plurality of layers of lightweight, flexible, ballistic resistant material such as woven sheets which are secured together into the laminate using a adhesive, heat weld, or stitching. The ballistic barrier is configured to be in a compact retracted state which can be deployed to provide a protective state to protect against kinetic ballistic projectiles. The system may include an automated control system operably configured to change the state of the ballistic barrier from the retracted state to the protective deployed state, such that upon sensing a threatening event or condition triggers a transition from the retracted state to the deployed protective state such that in the protective state. The ballistic barrier in the deployed state is configured to be resistant to penetration by high-speed ballistic projectiles such as a bullet fired from a gun or a shrapnel from a bomb to protect the interior space.

摘要： A multi-layer ballistic woven fabric, including an upper woven layer having upper warp yarns and upper weft yarns that are interwoven together to form the upper woven layer. The multi-layer ballistic woven fabric also includes a lower woven layer having lower warp yarns and lower weft yarns that are interwoven together, and a plurality of securing yarns, each securing yarn interwoven with at least some of the upper yarns and some of the lower yarns so as to secure the upper and lower woven layers together. At least one of the securing yarns is woven underneath a first lower weft yarn, then above a second upper weft yarn adjacent the first lower weft yarn, then underneath a third lower weft yarn adjacent the second upper weft yarn and then above a fourth upper weft yarn adjacent the third lower weft yarn. The multi-layer ballistic woven fabric is formed by interweaving the securing yarns with the warp yarns and weft yarns as the upper woven layer and lower woven layer are made.
