摘要： A projectile launching system can include a projectile launcher and a projectile. The projectile launcher can include at least one barrel, a projectile, a firing pin mechanism, an activator, and a power system. The barrel can extend along a longitudinal axis between first and second ends, with an exit port at the second end. The projectile can be positioned in the barrel and include primer, propellant, and a sub-projectile. The firing pin mechanism can be selectively project into the barrel to engage the primer, whereby the propellant is ignited and the projectile is launched out of the barrel. The activator can be engaged with the firing pin mechanism and engageable by a user to control the firing pin mechanism. The power system can rotate the barrel or the projectile as the firing pin mechanism is projecting into the barrel and engaging the primer of the projectile.

摘要： A nonlethal bullet includes a casing having an open front end with a frangible rubber bullet head seated therein. The bullet head includes a tip with an opening thereon that is in communication with an interior chemical chamber. A plug adhesively secured within the opening is driven into the chemical chamber upon impact with a target. Accordingly, when the bullet is fired by a weapon and strikes an intruder or assailant, the plug is driven into the chemical chamber, causing the tip to splinter, releasing the incapacitating agent.

摘要： A munition has a penetrator casing that houses a fuel-oxidizer mixture within the casing. A height of burst fuze is operatively coupled to the fuel-oxidizer mixture, to ignite the fuel-oxidizer mixture before impact with the target. By igniting the fuel-oxidizer mixture before target impact, the munition avoids the problem of the impact potentially causing damage to the fuze that would leave the fuze in operable. The fuel-oxidizer mixture may cause injury and damage into a space that has been breached by the penetrator casing, for example by expelling lethal combustion products (hot gases) into a hard target, such as a building or bunker, that has been breached by the penetrator casing. The hot gasses may also have the advantage of maintaining an opening that the penetrator passes through, with for example the hot gases glassifying the edges of a hole formed by the penetrator, such as through soil.

摘要： A crowd control projectile includes a payload carrier, an incapacitating agent inside the payload carrier, and an activating mechanism for activating the incapacitating agent. The activating mechanism includes a sensor and a timer. The timer delays the activation until a predetermined delay after the sensor senses that the projectile has been launched. Alternatively, the activating mechanism includes a receiver for receiving an activation signal after the projectile has been launched. Preferably, the projectile has the shape of a clay pigeon. A launcher of such a projectile includes a communication mechanism for transmitting a timing signal or an activation signal to the projectile and an arm for launching the projectile by direct contact. To control a crowd, the projectile is launched over the crowd by direct contact with a solid arm and the activating mechanism is used to activate the incapacitating agent when the projectile is above the crowd.

摘要： A method of operating a security system with deterrent capability is implemented through security cameras that are articulated and non-articulated, entry doors, and a control unit. The control unit is communicatively coupled with the security cameras and the entry doors as the control unit is supervised by a trained operator. The security cameras continuously send audio and video data to the control unit so that a threatening target can be identified before he or she can do any destruction. When the threatening target is identified, the entry doors are locked and electrified through the control unit in order to provide an initial defense system for the threatening target. Additional deterrence can be implemented at the threatening target through a less-lethal deterrence unit and non-lethal deterrence units of the articulated security cameras while the non-articulated security cameras provide surveillance of the threatening target to the control unit.
