摘要： A fire suppression system includes a motor and a foam pump. The foam pump is driven by the motor to inject one or more chemical additives from an off-board additive container into a discharge conduit. A bypass valve is in fluid communication with the output of the foam pump. One or more sensors are configured to measure at least one operating condition of the foam pump. A controller is in communication with the one or more sensors and is operatively connected to the bypass valve. The controller is configured to determine, based on data received from the one or more sensors regarding the at least one operating condition of the foam pump, whether the foam pump is experiencing a loss of prime, and to open the bypass valve in response. The motor may also selectively operate in one of two modes depending on the rotational speed and torque required.

摘要： A method for measuring fill level of a fill substance. Transmission signals are sent and their fractions reflected on reflectors in the container and received as received signals. Based on the received, echo functions are derived and wanted echos of predetermined wanted echo types respectively contained in the echo functions and identifiable based on predetermined echo recognition methods are ascertained. Each wanted echo is a local maximum and is attributable to a reflection on a reflector associated with its wanted echo type. Echo quality of each wanted echo is determined. The echo quality is higher, the more peak shaped the echo function is in the region of the respective wanted echo, and the fill level is determined taking into consideration echo qualities of the wanted echos.

摘要： A nuclear level sensing gauge for a vessel 10 comprises a vertical source well 12 and one more level sensing detectors 22 mounted to vertically spaced nozzles, where the sources 30 in the source well 12 are distributed sources which emit a radiation pattern illuminating a length of greater than one inch of the respective level sensing nozzle, so that thermal expansion or contraction of the vessel 10 does not significantly alter radiation illuminating each detector 22. In a second embodiment, a vessel 10 includes plural level sensing nozzles and plurality of level sensing wells 12′, each nozzle and level sensing well 12′ positioned adjacent to one another such that a source in the well illuminates a detector 22 on the nozzle. Because the respective level sensing wells 12′ and level sensing nozzles are closely adjacent to one another, thermal expansion or contraction of the vessel does not significantly alter the illumination of the detector 22.
