    • An inspection and recording system for fluid flow testing of cooling passageways in gas turbine buckets provides readily observable visual determination of whether any blockages were formed during the manufacturing or refurbishing processes. The inspection apparatus includes a manifold block and manifold control valve mounted on a platform and adapted to engage the root end of a turbine bucket and supply liquid therethrough. The liquid exiting at the tip of the turbine bucket is visible and any blockages in the passageways will be easily discerned by the absence or paucity of liquid flow at the tip. The fluid flow test is recorded with at least one video camera to display both locally and possibly remotely the fluid flow through the article. The video images can be displayed remotely in real time over a computer network or can be stored on a suitable medium for time delayed display. When the system is connected to a computer network, a remote viewer can also provide input or comment on the inspection displayed.

    • A window seal testing machine for seals of the type used in powered automotive windows, the testing machine comprising an adjustable frame simulating a portion of a powered automotive window, the frame being adapted to receive one or more sets of window seals and a piece of window glass therein to simulate the sealing relationship between the seals and window glass in an actual automotive window. The testing machine further includes a drive mechanism for repetitively cycling the window glass through the frame and seals to simulate actual window operation over hundreds or thousands of cycles. The entire machine is preferably self-contained and portable, and the frame is further adjustable to be adapted to test different sets of seals and types of window glass.

    • In order to improve a monitoring device for checking for a predefined position of a body or for checking for the presence of a body, comprising a pivotal checking element, a motor for driving the checking element and a control device for controlling the pivotal movement of the checking element, in such a manner that it is universally employable and, in particular, the exertion of too high a force on a body is prevented, it is proposed that the checking element be adapted to be pivoted commencing from a starting position through a transition region into a monitoring region in which the predefined position of the body lies or in which the presence of a body should be monitored, and that the control device limit the torque of the checking element in such a manner that the maximum possible torque in the monitoring region is reduced relative to that in the transition region.

The inspection method of the continuously variable transmission belt assembled through supporting an element laminated body constituted of a number of metal elements on a belt laminated body constituted of a plurality of steel belts comprises: a trial step of trial use with a load applied on the continuously variable transmission belt in the assembled state; a separation step of separating the belt laminated body and the element laminated body from each other after completion of the trial step; and an inspection step of inspecting whether there is any damage on a surface of the steel belt positioned in a first layer of the belt laminated body separated in the separation step.

    • A metrology device is described which is couplable to a load port of a semiconductor product handling and/or processing tool. The tool encloses a mini-environmental atmosphere and has a load port table for supporting devices to be coupled to the load port.
